Lol, insists on that joke of an offer while talking about rematching Cotto and Mayweather.

Canelo's seriously digging his own grave.

So then why has Tom said the fight won't happen unless they get a percentage of the fight, which supposedly was offered, unless they aren't getting what they feel is enough (which we can't speculate on because we don't know any specific percentage amount, if any was even offered)? I don't think they would be complaining if they were to get the flat fee plus some upside. From what I've made of it, the flat fee doesn't include any of that, which is why there are problems.

Can't help but feel that if you switched the names "Canelo" and "Golovkin", 90% of the responses would reveal a bit of hypocrisy.

Something most people here fail to realize is that this isn't even about Canelo vs GGG right now. This is about one management team vs another. Both have valuable commodities that they are doing their best to get the most out of. In fact, that's all it is right now.

you guys need to get some pride, or back a better level of fighter
Kovalev and Ward only signed the contracts for their fight about 2 months ago, you fuckwit.

Planning to make a fight somewhere down the line is not the same thing as agreeing all terms, including the money, and signing the contracts. Jeez man, grow the fuck up. You come on like an infant school kid.

Flat fee plus ppv upside has been well stated. Upside meaning if the ppv buys exceed a certain amount, Golovkin gets extra cash. DLH doesn't want to negotiate on percentages as he basically believes that if the fight exceeds budgeted expectations it will be because of Alvarez as "Golovkin doesn't sell".
