What a shame that "champions" today are clearly avoiding the key to their legacy.

Roy is a legend so he has his say yet he made very poor choices in his life and even became a Russian citizen. His actions in life are based on his unhealthy relationship with his father: he tried to prove to his father that he can do impossible yet never received the dad's approval and love. Later in his career his actions started to point towards self-destruction, he said he wants to die in the ring and I think he has meant it. His suicidal mindset is what caused him money and reconciliation with himself.

As for the rest detractors, they are low-life dummies or love/hate based on the skin color (also dummies).

Golovkin best run along and do what daddy Roy tells him

until Golovkin gets a defining win, he is just lil'G

      big'R > lil'G

Or does Warren prefer to work with GBP again? Warren seemed rather happy in the ring at AT&T stadium. Must really love working with other Mafia pimps like Oscar and the Alien. Loeffler, the ex real estate agent isn't taken seriously. Sells fights like the failure of his condo portfolio
Frank Warren has said they'll negotiate next year. Billy is due to fight next month to shake off some rust.

Loeffler has also been preoccupied with Jacobs.

          Give it a rest.

Is it your life's mission to hate on GG?

          You're obsessed.

You know why he wants Canelo.

You know the best fighters at 168 are tied up.

I think they will continue to avoid meaningful fights until they "break" Hopkins record by beating no-hopers..... and then, I don't think that Golovkin will move up, but he may then start taking fights like Saunders/Jacobs.

I'm not sure we will ever see Golovkin/Canelo, I don't think it will ever happen.
            Still deluding yourself.

            Sad.

              Let it go, mate.

You're also not getting the point that the Alvarex fight was alrways there, and Loeffler Abel never took the deals. The fact of the matter is, any Alvarez vs Golovkin bout automatically gets a rematch clause. Therfore, it's obvious Abel and Loeffler are pricing themselves out. Doesn't matter what Bout I is agreed upon, if Alvarez is easy work, then match 2 or 3 have different splits. This is common sense. Loeffler and Abel are so amateur and insecure about splits for themselves it really has nothing to do with Golovkin.

But a sad #48 bitterboy can't understand it.
What a load of horse manure.

              Complete fantasy.

You have all these guys who say Genady doesn't have to go anywhere, but Canelo is a coward for not moving up?? Sad.
You know how it played out man.

Oscar could have handled things very differently.

also, an earlier poster said..... what about Canelo, why doesn't Jones ask him to move up?

simply put, Canelo has already made big fights, and he has already made concessions TWICE.....

I know exactly whats up..... Golovkin is solely relying on beating Hopkins record for his legacy..... that's it!

don't expect anything else..... there will be no move to 168, and no marquee fights..... just a list of no-hoper defences for the WBA interim title..... if they were about that life, they would have done something already..... but nope

                  Jones is 100% right

Golovkin needs to take a page out of Ward's book

Ward > Golovkin, and it aint even close..... and yet, a certain fanbase seems to see it the opposite..... THAT is what is wrong with boxing, the fans who drive this sport have dreadfully low expectations/demands from particular fighters

the disappointing PPV between Pac/Floyd (result-wise, not numbers) apparently tainted the market..... now numbers are down, now punters are being more selective..... and yet, how could Golovkin's recent actions possibly help..... he offered Saunders 1.5mil, he called for an early purse-bid with Jacobs, and he totally refused to fight the little red kid for 10mil LMAO

Jones is right..... the guy who is apparently our very best product is, meh.....
GG will move up. And when he does I'll bump threads like this to see what your pathetic a$$ has to say about it.

                  You're clueless.

You can't appreciate circumstances or anything.

You're one of the worst posters here.

Doesn't change anything. When life deals you lemons you can follow plan B or you can look like a sad sack blaming life for your failure to achieve.

Also, don't fall into the trap that many here do in thinking that we know about the negotiations. Your perception is manipulated by interviews and tweets about supposed business dealings. This is an oooold tactic and it's all about getting to the press first. Certain promoters use this heavily today because the public still falls for it. I'm not arguing about Canelo vs GGG, just mentioning it because I see guys like Maxi that think they know everything that goes on behind closed doors because he reads tweets. We hardy know a fraction of it.
