Why is it wrong for him to wait for canelo? GGG is a natural middle who doesn't struggle to make weight and has a p4p recognised fighter who is also the biggest draw in the sport moving into his division. Canelo has only fought as a Jr middle once in 3 years, so why is it out of the question for GGG to want to fight the lineal/ring champion in his division?

Moving up to chase greatness? Like when ward drained the lineal light heavyweight champion instead of moving up to chase greatness? Or do you mean when he could no longer make weight and due to promotional issues (stevenson) and the fact he won't leave America (brahmer/cleverly) the only money fight and chance for a title was Kov. I think that HBO told Ward that they wouldn't accept any more c level fighters and if he wanted the money he thinks he deserves the Krusher was the only option.

It mightnt sound it but I'm actually a massive admirer of Ward, I remember falling out with my mates when I was cheering for him at 5am and he was shutting frock out. I don't like his style but I appreciate he's next level gifted (mayweather, rigo) but I do think there is a massive double standard and maybe even some racial bias on here.
Golovkin is 34 years old and has yet to fight anyone, professionally, actually worth fighting. The earliest that Golovkin could possibly fight Alvarez, on Alvarez's own clock, would be September 2017, and even that may get pushed back over Golovkin and his camp feeling he's worth more than a package of at least $10m!

With K2 not wanting to go into their pockets to pay either Daniel Jacobs or Billy Joe Saunders (WBO 160 champ) and thinking that they're worth more than what Alvarez/Golden Boy is willing to dig into the pocket for, Golovkin will have at least another two bum fights and take the Alvarez fee in September, or back out of that, add on an addition two fights and try his luck again May 2018.

36 years old, yet still with the resume of a rising prospect. lol

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, after fighting 154/155lbs 2011-2016, made 154 for the Liam Smith fight on his first shot with no issues (though he did have to strip naked at the scales); after making the weight, Alvarez stepped into the ring and delivered a hard pace for the full 9 rounds of the fight, with none of the apparent fatigue issues that usually come with weight troubles.

It could literally be another two years of waiting before Alvarez is compelled to fight at the full 160lbs (with his height/stature being what it is, Alvarez is likely fighting fit at 170lbs; a 15lb weight cut isn't out of the ordinary for most boxers, almost regardless of weight class).

Hey, you POS, you put me on ignore and then use my name. Typical SugarKaineHook ass hole behavior. His one anti Ward thread is a drop in the bucket compared to the hundreds of hate threads you have started on GGG and Pacquiao. You are a hateful, terrible, ******, immature poster. You only bring hate and negativity to this forum. All you seem capable of doing is starting multiple daily hate threads about Pacquiao and GGG. Two excellent boxers who don't deserve hate. Your GGG hate threads all say the same thing. You keep repeating yourself like a mindless parrot.

FIGHT WILL NEVER HAPPEN! walks away without negotiations.

whose fault is it that Canelo walked away from GGG as his mandatory 3 times?
GGG has made no concessions to fight anyone worth a damn..NONE!!! will go to 168 for chavez jr and Froch BUT NOT WARD??? REFUSED to negotiate weight with canelo then turned down 10 million??? does he really want these fights?

its a natural progression for him. and whoopdy ****ing do, hbo forced him into a tough fight after being sick of his circus show fights, ward never wanted the kovalev fight, would have been happy to carry on with his bum of the year club

Look how you try to insult Ward like he is not fighting Kovalev on November. Yeah their is a racial bias and double standard around here. Then after all that **** you say "but I'm actually a massive admirer of Ward". In the end of the day GGG ducked Ward. Him and his trainer backtrack on what they say. They have fought some good fighters but none at the level they are trying to put GGG at. To me the biggest problem is they don't know how to keep quiet or at least stick to a story. One minute they say he can beat anyone from 154-168 and start talking big fights at each weight. Kingpin at 168 challenges them, they suddenly start to backtrack. Ward leaves to fight at 175 to "chase greatness". There they go again spitting that bs.

                    wrong.

164 lbs is a concession. Period.

Ward fought at 160 before. GGG never fought at 168. GGG never fought above 160. Ward fought lower than 164. what's the problem? WArd "NO CONCESSIONS"

Ward is doing that in 4 weeks.

The people are still waiting on gennady to do the same.

it's funny that when you question a fighters resume that makes you a hater.

What's even more funny is Americans coming to the defense of a guy from another country, but those same Americans won't even defend their countrymen.

Now go ahead and spin what I just said into me being a racist hater
If Ward were a Brit you best believe the Brits would not be with Kovalev.

The Brits don't care if their fighter is Black as Bruno or White as Hatton.

They'll be there supporting their man win or lose.

                      "Americans" can't do that.
