He's still the favorite. Ward actually opened as a -145 favorite - which speaks VOLUMES considering that Ward is the guy who is moving up and Kovalev is the supposed big puncher and KO artist.

Need to stop all this talk, I'm a huge GGG fan and quite frankly you don't have to be a genius to work out his team didn't want the fight. But who cares Ward against Kovalev is awesome and Ward was always a natural light heavy.

GGG and his team were fully willing to go to 168 and then come back down when fans were not asking him to because they saw the financial gains that could be made form a froch or Chavez jr. fight prior to unification.

You are now acting like fans are asking him to do the impossible when all they wanted was GGG and his team to make the same decision with an opponent that wouldn't of yielded the same financial gain but would have given fans a better fight.

You're right. GGG's team viewed Froch and Chavez as low risk high reward and they viewed Ward as high risk low reward. And yes, of course, the fans are asking for too much from GGG. They need to get over it.
