Pacquiao-Broner isn't Mayweather-Pacquiao, Mayweather-Alvarez, or ODLH-Mayweather; heck, it's likely not even near Mayweather-Cotto ($98m on PPV, with $12m coming from the live gate).

You add that Arum is clearly going to take a significant piece of whatever the event ends up doing for himself and talks of Broner tripling his $4m is foolish.

$50m as final proceeds on the fight, $20m to Pacquiao, $4m to Broner, Arum takes his own share, and Pacquiao/Broner split the rest 5:1 and, at it's best, Broner maybe gets to $7m while Pacquiao walks away with $35m.

Rather than get shafted on the money, Broner keeps plugging along, taking the lion's share off of his own events.
listen and read carefully, marquez brings in more than what broner will be able too and marquez only got $mil for fighting pac. what are you not getting out of this?

the $4mil wasnt a flat fee offer, so why wouldnt broner be able to make more when its all said and done?

so as you put it broner ends up with $7mil more than his $1.75 highest pay day. and you're still crying because?

The discussion is about the assumption that Garcia or Thurman would take Pac's head off which I seriously doubt. Garcia would be backed up Like Guerrero and Herrera did to Garcia. Pac would win a decision. Thurman would be a brutal affair that either guy could win but I see Pac's experience prevailing since Thurman does get backed up at times along the ropes like he did against Collazo and against Guerrero and body shots more than once have hurt Thurman. Pac would win the rounds where Thurman backed up as well as other rounds which would give him the win. Pac could also be hurt by Thurman which makes it a more dangerous fight for him than Garcia would be. Those guys will have serious issues dealing with Pac's style and volume.

Pac is OLD, his time is gone, either one, well Thurman most of all, would beat him, garcia took Mathysse's best, now with more weight, he'd take pac apart, and since youre basing your presumption on pac landing a good shot, if danny lands his Hook on pac, he's gonna be talking about how he tripped again...

Pac still performs against top opposition and his experience level eclipses those guys. Again, it doesnt matter if Garcia took Mattthysee's best because we are not talking about Garcia's chin. And you have a serious reading comprehension issue because no one is talking about Pac landing one good shot. He can outwork fighters whether he stops them or not. You keep trying to boil EVERYTHING down to one of these guys landing a big punch just like people did with Donaire against Rigo and countless others. Dont hold your breath waiting around for an opponent to land that same punch. It is a lost cause. These fights are about conditioning, style, and experience. Pac would be rightfully favored to beat those guys....you'll have to accept that.

because pac and mathysse both have the same foot work right? and lucas is just as fast as manny too right? pac would light danny boy up. thurman would be a tougher fight since he's got the size on manny but danny boy will get brutalize.

                  Vargas is no tune up
since when is vargas undefeated? lol

people are forgetting it was less than 6 months ago that pac fought a p4p guy, top 2 in the division and made easy work of him. whats vargas got to offer?

oh and I'm pretty sure Garcia and/or Thurman is being saved for a Mayweather come back.

                  • How about Thurman vs Garica in early Spring with the winner facing Pacman in late Summer? Then the winner of that fight can face Errol Spence Jr.

I corrected myself shortly after. The Bradley fight slipped my mind.

Yes Bradley dominated Vargas (outside of that one big shot that Vargas landed late in the 12th).
