I've seen this movie before, mention some top name opponents get people hyped up for a serious match, then sign to fight another in-house soft touch.

Pac easily beats thurman, garcia, and broner even at this stage in his career. crawford and spence give pac problems.

yes and no...are you surprised? It's not time to cash out on Pacquiao just yet, especially vs high risk/low reward guys like Spence and Crawford.

If Arum was legit about making the fight, Top Rank would've split the event with Broner straight up, giving Arum an event that he could actually shop to HBO and MGM Resorts.

In what world is Pacquiao getting $15m (guessing at the offer, but the pushed story is that Pacquiao is giving up some money to help make fights) and Broner getting $4m, for Pacquiao-Broner, even remotely equitable?
Really? Since when was adrien broner a big star who commands huge multi million dollar paydays? Broner has never even fought on ppv or made more than 2 million. 4 million plus ppv upside is a golden opportunity for broner, where else could he getthat much money?

Adrien Broner delivers Manny Pacquiao a PPV event that draws HBO to the table and draws MGM Resorts to the table.

Manny Pacquiao does not have that pull with any other matchup that Top Rank can be expected to deliver for him (even if they go with Terrence Crawford, HBO may have interest in carrying the fight, but there's very little chance that the event breaks even).

Broner's value to a Pacquiao event, especially at this point in Pacquiao's, is significantly beyond what Arum has already shown willing to pay folks like Brandon Rios, Chris Algieri, or Timothy Bradley in the first fight , all of whom brought less marketing ability to the table than Broner does.

Broner is fighting Ricky Burns in the near future, and if he wins that fight, he'll likely have another big fight in Cincinnati before Spring hits.

two fights, both on his own terms, and he at least gets what was offered (with potential upside based on what his take on the promotional end is)

have fun arguing with him. i tried telling him the same thing but some how to him broner is worth a lot and brings in a lot LOL.

also LOL @ the fact that broner has never fought on a ppv yet he's hyping broner up to be a star.
