I'm going to guess 28-30%.
What connect rate do you see Kovalev getting against Ward?

One thing off of the top of my head without watching tape is Kovalev's straight left. That sets him apart from the rest of them in at least 1 respect. he knocked Nadjib Mohammedi down with it and catches a lot of guys with it because it is a punch they don't see coming. They would expect a left hook instead. You don't need to list everything; I've simply asked for 1-2.
I've seen Sullivan Barrera fight Andre Ward, Karo Murat, and Jeff Lacy. I've seen Kovalev fight Campillo, Cornelius White, Hopkins, the first Pascal fight, and parts of the Chilemba fight.
Style for style, I can't point to a single thing, outside of maybe punch power, where you can clearly say that Kovalev does this clearly better than Barrera.
Is Kovalev's jab significantly better than Barrera's jab? No. Is Kovalev's defense significantly better than Barrera's? No. Is Kovalev's lead hook better than Barrera's? No. etc.
Please point to a single skill, and I'll move on.Comment

You're talking a lot of nonsense here. Kovalev has faster feet and moves better. His jab is better. His punch selection and variety are better. His timing is better. His counter punching is better. His command of distance is better. His body punching is better. He's much, much better than Barrera in many ways besides his power.I don't care where either guy is rated, by whomever, wherever, however.
Skill for skill, what does Sergey Kovalev do that Sullivan Barrera can't do? Outside of just sheer punching power (which can be doubted), there's not a single aspect that you can confidently point to.
Isaac Chilemba and Andre Ward, disregard anything about p4p or where they are rated, are similar fighters but not the same fighter. Andre Ward's feet/foot placement is better than Chilemba, Ward's far more effective in getting his offense/negating an opponents offense on the inside than Chilemba is, and is far more dynamic in his use of both hands than Chilemba is, to point out the obvious differences.
not that complicatedComment

I think he'll do 25 to 30%, which is well above average for a Ward opponent. If he does above 35%, he's going to win the fight.
Ward's #1 priority is neutralizing Kovalev's attack so the fight hinges on his ability to do that. I believe he'll do it by controlling distance but only Andre and Virgil know for sure.Comment

LOL aside from the simple fact you can't see their speed difference.
Kovalev is very very fast for LHW. Handspeed, combos and footspeed.
Barrera is visibly wooden with slow plodding feet.
that is the main difference. even more so than power. you can clearly see one guy is slow and the other guy is fast.
So Kovalev will be able to deliver his power to Ward much better. Barrera landed plenty. Kovalev will land more and harder shots.Comment

Stop it.
You forgot to mention Kovalev's habit of squaring himself up and dropping his hands.
That's why Ward will whip his overrated ass from pillar to post.
You can't square up against elite fighters...that is something Kovalev and his followers will learn the hard way.Comment
