    lol wut???

jacobs has no leverage other than his belt.

GGG has all the leverage, plus network backing.

jacobs is just trying to price himself out so that its the "money" that held up the fight and not the fact that he really doesnt want to get in there with GGG.

do you guys know what did happen first? was it jacob's people asking for a different purse split (60-40) or was it GGG's people asking to get the purse bid sooner?

You are aware that in Jacobs last fight the audience left after the Easter vs Commey fight right? They had to darken the arena to hide the empty seats. They guy simply isn't a draw.

And 25% isn't what's being offered, that's the purse split if Jacob's team decides to be a diva and take the fight to bid. What being offered is more than likely closer in regards to "percentages".

It was reported first that Jacobs approached the WBA about the purse split. It was reported a few days later that Tom called for the bid.

Possible that K2 pushed for bid first but it's unlikely.

Why are some of you pretending like Jacobs has just come on the scene? He has been regular champ for a couple years and was considered a very good middleweight before that. He has had the last few years to express interest in fighting Golovkin. However, he only starting saying he wants the fight when he knew it was finally about to be ordered.

But regardless, if he accepts a deal, it will clearly be much more than 25% of the total pot.

              Take the damn deal.

Im not saying go 50/50 or 55/45... 70-30 or even 65-35 is even better than 25

Jacobs asked for an interim fight, then for a change in the rules regarding pursesplit. Then GGG asked WBA to move the pursebid forward with about a week stating that the negotiations had stalled.

Beating the guy on top no longer have any value these days. The challenger always start with the premise of getting beat already and thus insist on getting paid an amount he doesn't deserve, instead of focusing on the larger money that would follow after beating the champion. It's sad.

So what's the big deal. K2 has already agreed to let the fight take place at Jacob's preferred venue, the Barclays and he has the chance to win 3 major titles in just one fight plus a cool million or two.

Jacobs was the walk out bout to Easter vs Comney, two unknowns. The audience didn't have a **** about Jacobs vs Mora. Nobody even bothered to tune in during the Jacobs vs Quilling fight. Jacobs acting like he Sugar Ray Leonard famous.

Ya boy Jacobs needs to find that pen and sign the dotted line.
