The WBA purse bid split for a super champion and a mandatory has always been 75/25. This isn't anything new. That's why it's better to make a deal before it's ordered to a purse bid. If they can't reach a deal, it goes to a purse bid which is 75/25 per the WBA rules.

lol @ blaming golovkin for sanctioning body rules. what else did GGG do wrong, 9/11?

Hypothetically speaking, is 70-30 still not good enough? Jacobs' can't even sell out in his own hometown and viewership is doodoo.
I would just think that they would be able to negotiate at least. Loeffler is the one that urged the purse bid:
The fight between WBA Super World middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (36-0, 33 KOs), the undefeated knockout artist from Karaganda, Kazakhstan, and WBA World middleweight champion Daniel Jacobs (32-1, 19 KOs), the “Miracle Man” from Brooklyn, New York, will likely to go to a purse bid.

saying they cant negotiate. I just think they are money hungry.

He probably expected to be able to negotiate instead of a purse bid right away.

75-25 has always been ******. Probably the main reason why team ggg doesnt want to negotiate and wants the to go to the purse bid right away cuz they have always been about $$$$$

Eve 35% would be a good negotiation. Team ggg are just being money hungry. That's why they urged the purse bid.

at least 35%. Would be the best name on ggg's resume imo so far murray was the best but he just lost to arthur abraham who.... well is not that good and he lost to groves.

I am waiting to see if a Haymon associated promoter wins the purse bid. If so, will HBO make GGG vacate because Haymon will likely not want the fight on HBO.

I'm sure you're hoping for this, but sorry to break it to you, it's just a dream. You really think Haymon is that reckless to bid 5m+ to promote the Hbo guy?

I don't know what will happen with the purse bid and niether do you.

If a Haymon associated promoter wins the bid we will see what happens.

I want to see the fight. I am not hoping GGG gets stripped.

Absolutely. PBC seems to have financial problems so it may be hard for Haymon to back a huge bid by a promoter.

It also will cost more money to have the fight in NYC given there new insurance requirements.
