Canelo would clearly be the most skilled opponent he has fought

Also the most skilled puncher considering neither Stevens nor Lemieux have the combinations, accuracy of Canelo

Also Canelo can handle himself well inside and has shown a good chin, power and defense

he actually has become a more complete fighter since 2013

i favor GGG but wouldnt be surprised if canelo wins....its not exactly GGG vs wade you know lol
not sure he is, brooks pretty skillful and i'd favour brook to beat ducknelo at 154

I see where this fits your agenda and N'dam is a moderately talented fighter, but no ever considered N'dam a "highly respected" contender.

It's because Golovkin is overrated and Canelo isn't.

I wouldnt favor brook considering has only beaten one world rated fighter in his entire 30 + fight career....Porter and the rest are euro level domestic fighters

Canelo has fought champion after champion, varying styles and only clearly took an L to a legit all time great

When Brook can beat show he can beat top ten 154ers and even 147ers then I'd understand your position

dont pump up brook because he is GGG's most recognizable opponent to date lol

He still is highly unproven at the top

Canelo would stop Brook, he is clearly the better fighter

I don't see it, and I love Canelo. I think people are over-thinking this fight, or been totally fooled by the Brook fight. I think a late stoppage for Golovkin is very, very likely.

GGG will be more cautious against Canelo because he will recognise that a fighter with great timing will be hitting him back. But he's got a better jab (which he will utilise against Saul), better footwork, better punching power. He's an offensive powerhouse, and Canelo won't be able to take the heat for 12 rounds.

Fact is, GBP and Canelo himself didn't want the fight yet. Fighters, and their promoters, know the deal when it comes to their own limitations.

Because a Welterweight took him 5 rounds.

Even though a former lightweight with a glass chin took Canelo 6.

yeah, good post. People have short memories and i think in their head they think, ggg's going to walk in like he did against brook and leave himself open, and canelos a good combo puncher so hes going to find the target easily. But its not going to happen. GGG's not ******, know amateur career isnt the be all and end all but if people have seen his amateur fights they know what his skills are like. He'll fight cautiously by his standards against canelo, will win the fight pretty much with his jab. Similar to the lemiuex fight although wont be quite as one sided as that
