Im guessing you're basing this off the fact that Brook landed that one clean shot in the 2nd, to which Golovkin responded by waving his arms at Kell, inviting more. Golovkin beat the sh it out of Brook from the opening bell until the towel came in from Brook's corner.
Did his face not break in the first? I remember that he was wobbled twice in rd 1, the first time really early by a left hook, his right eye began swelling then too.

And I don't really get why people act like Brook was outboxing Golovkin to the point of a brawler, that was Golovkins own choice, when he actually boxed I.e. used his jab he dominated Brook, just the first rd look at how many jabs he is using, that's Golovkin boxing seriously, then look at how he fights after hurting Brook, just like with Monroe he makes a show of it after seeing the guy is there for the taking whenever he decides. Then look at the third rd after he ate that uppercut, how many jabs he begins to feed Brook, knocks Brook down, the path of the beatdown begins. Against Stevens he stayed disciplined, same with Lemuiex even after hurting them.

I wont argue, Brook had a couple moments of looking good. My contention is that Golovkin never really went out there to box with Kell. I believe that from the opening bell, GGG had KO in his mind, not to stick and move and box, but just slug it out and spark him out. I think Brook landing that flush uppercut in the 2nd was the worst thing for Kell. At that point, Gennady realized that Kell couldn't hurt him, and Golovkin could just throw caution to the wind.

It reminds me of one fight I was in when I was younger. We squared up and he got off first, landing a clean shot to my eye. It felt like a basketball had hit me in the face, and I knew he couldn't hurt me. At that point I just gunned him down with hard lefts

I think that Abel knew what Kell can do and told GGG to just go through him ,so it was plan from begining, but they didnt want to box with kell at all.And Kell pull GGG in boxing match at moment but ggg reads Kell well and adjust.

I personally think it happened in either the 1st or the 3rd, but Kell has said more than once it was the 2nd. That hook to the head about midway through the1st looked like it did some damage to me. There's also a jab in the 3rd that caused Kell to touch his face, and I think it really broke good then. I just am going by Brook's word since he knows his body better than any of us.

Monroe is a good comparison to the Brook fight. I believe it was in the 3rd that Monroe landed a good clean shot on Gennady. That's when GGG started to stick his face out, wave his arms at Willie and pound his chest, inviting Monroe to hit him. He realized that the dude couldn't hurt him and made a show of it until almost the end of the 4th. Watch the fight and notice Golovkin's facial expression change at about :20 left in the 4th. Then he starts to go in for the kill and tje fight doesnt last long after that.

I think a Canelo fight would happen much like Lemieux and Stevens did. Gennady will respect Alvarez's power and stay disciplined working behind the jab and being defensively sound. We won't see the reckless abandon that we did against softer touches like Monroe and Brook. It will be a calculated offensive against Canelo.

And one guy wobbled the other twice in sparring. DOesnt take a genius to predict this one mate
leave the amateur results where they belong...in the amateurs

Canelo would clearly be the most skilled opponent he has fought

Also the most skilled puncher considering neither Stevens nor Lemieux have the combinations, accuracy of Canelo

Also Canelo can handle himself well inside and has shown a good chin, power and defense

he actually has become a more complete fighter since 2013

i favor GGG but wouldnt be surprised if canelo wins....its not exactly GGG vs wade you know lol
