I'll explain this to you just one more time ... K2 didn't pay Brook's purse when he fought GGG, Brooks promoter paid Brook's purse for that fight.

By calling for a purse bid Loeffler is giving Jacob's promoter the opportunity to do what Eddie Hearn did with GGG/Brook - promote the damn fight himself and pay his fighter what he, that's JACOB'S PROMOTER, believes Danny is worth. Now what could be fairer than that?

Say it's 50/50 and each gets 3 mil is either side willing to put up 6mil? PBC only put up 5 for Wilder/Povetkin.

Wilder got 1.25 mil viewers against Stiverne.

Jacobs got 400k against Quillin.

Not sure what GGG got against Brook but I wanna say it was around 700-800k.

BTW i think a Golovkin vs Jacobs fight does great at the gate and good in veiwership. It'll probably be Golovkin's best gate as a headliner.

It's a good fight, but it's not gonna doing ppv, so Jacobs isn't getting paid like he wants to.

At 75/25 I see no reason for Jacobs to take the fight if it goes to Purse bid. He will make more with the Quillen fight than this mess. I mean what has a ggg opponent historically made? If ggg's team want to keep complaining that no one will step in the ring with him they need to start paying people worthwhile. If they want to keep the excuse up and miss fights then it is what it is.

Actually, maybe not. Without the regular title he can't even sell himself as a possible champion and ggg opponent.

He is trying to get more than he's worth though, so he probably doesn't want the fight.

I'm guessing Loeffler's trying to put pressure on Jacobs Team to accept an offer before it goes to a purse bid.

Ultimately, whether this fight gets made or not comes down to a simple question:

What is Danny willing to accept being paid to get badly KTFO?

GGG might be the one to get badly KO'd.

That's why they are lowballing their way out of this fight.
