which is the more reasonable/logical option? obv haymon fanboys would say lose money since they think thats the point of boxing but its actually option 2
    There is another option:

    3. GGG takes less in order to unify which is his stated goal.

I know you are a ****** troll, but Jacobs doesn't have to give up his leverage or come off his demands to help GGG achieve his stated goal.

I second what Big Dunn says. Changing the purse bid splits doesn't affect competition. It facilitates negotiations. The purpose of a purse bid is to encourage free negotiations. In this case, modifying the split purse bid split would align with that construct.

Why ask for the change if you didn't feel you were being low balled because of the purse bid split?

It's not a unification. How much less would he have to take in order to pay a Jacobs over 3m, like zero?

        • So Danny is going to try and take the belt through purse bid???

Oh but he really wants the fight. Yeah right. Anyone with a brain saw this coming a mile off.

so ggg needs to take less again and again, when he's clearly the draw and has the most LEVERAGE you're talking about and there's no goal to achieve on fighting jacobs lmao so how about both of them take what's fair? I always think that 2m is more than fair for jacobs, more than that is clearly pricing himself out, do you agree?

Not saying it is but it will give us 1 wba champ and moves GGG toward unifying all the belts.

i already assumed ggg is taking much less but the problem is there is only so much money to be made off of a ggg-jacobs fight. 3 million plus for jacobs leaves how much? is this a super secret mega-fight? where is all this money coming from? of course you would never blame haymon but what if haymon didn't overpay jacobs for the quillin fight which lost tons of money? what if jacobs biggest purse was 500k or so. this fight would proabbly get done with reasonable purse splits for both fighters but haymon ruined it. i'm sure you will come up with a way to defend haymon overpaying market value and losing money. you always do

Same result if Jacobs vacates. Of course I'd rather see the fight, but if the challenger is unwilling, not much you can do

He hasn't taken less again and again. We are only talking about trying to get this fight made.

The goal in fighting Jacobs is getting 1 WBA champ and cleaning out MW. GGG stated his goal is unifying all the belts at MW. to achieve that goal he needs this fight.

If you think $2 mil is fair fine. I don't think he is pricing himself out.

Maybe K2 will just have to lose on this one.

Not even that, the WBA has one real belt and two paper belts that everyone ignores.
