we are talking about getting this fight made yet you are only focusing on what ggg can do to get it made...you never blame jacobs for demanding more money than he is worth. he's simply not worth the 3 to 5 million that he wants since he's not popular. k2 can only overpay guys so much. eventually the money is not there. jacobs would still make a great purse if he accepts the fight but maybe he waits and gets lucky with a better deal down the road. prob not since no one cares about him but hey at least he doest get ktfo.
That isn't the same as him taking less again and again.

Yes, because what he offers as the a side is what will get the fight made. whenever we have discussed getting fights made you have always suggested a side do what is necessary to make the fight.

    why are you changing now?

Worth is determined by what you can negotiate. Jacobs may not be worth $3-5 mil but GGG may not be worth $5 mil unless he is in with a cheap opponent, a point you are not ever going to look at.

GGG's HBO deal is also a problem here. Haymon could win the bid and be willing to lose money (as he had numerous times as you suggested k2 do) to get the fight made but HBO could block him from fighting.

uh yes it is since he's more popular than those guys. if he was floyd he would have offered them a sh-t flat offer and when they turned him down fought a bum and scooped up all the money. he's done that a couple times but for the most part he's actually trying to fight these guys and being extremely generous.

and i thought it was obvious that i don't expect the a-side to lose money or take less money just to get a fight made. that's not reasonable is it and doesn't even need to be said. but when you are the a-side and are willing to split the money with a guy who's clearly not on your level and the fight still can't be made...its time to blame the b-side. worth is determined by what you can negotiate...and so jacobs will be worth nothing since the figth can't be made with his demands. fight mora again for another 500k. no problem making that fight.

You suggested K2 may have to lose money to get the fight made. I am saying same thing.

This is what rational posters mean by saying GGG isn't as big as some of his fan think. He can fill out an arena when tickets are cheap and the opponent is a no name. he has yet to prove that he can bring them in when the tickets are priced at "event" level.

How much is this fight really worth? I mean GGG's popularity gets overblown by his fans and Jacobs popularity is confusingly low. I mean how do you not sell out the arena in your hometown against another hometown guy and only do like 400k in viewers?

GGG fights generate enough to pay his low level opponents $100k or whatever paltry purse they make. His fans come out in part because tickets are relatively inexpensive.

When he fights real opponents that command a higher purse there isn't enough unless prices are raised significantly.

K2 can simply raise ticket prices to try and cover everything but they surely are concerned GGG's fanbase may not come out if ticket prices are more expensive.

The fight also is best held on the East Coast, where things are more expensive.
Why are you wasting your time with these Rtards??? They don't want to see a GOOD COMPETITIVE fight against GGG most WORTHY opponent as a pro yet?? FINE by me!!!

I'm sure Tureno Johnson, Jorge Heiland, or Curbsize will take the next fight with GGG and his fans can celebrate him fighting another Tomato Can/BUM...

I bet Jacobs would take a 75/25 split against Canelo??? This just proves again who the A-Side is.After hearing GGG turn down $10million plus ppv% and seeing how his fans are ok with this BS!!! I hope Canelo never fights GGG. Let Canelo stay in the spotlight fighting the best out there not named GGG and GGG continues giving his fans Bumfights.com quality fights.

Are you GGG's accountant??? You sure do bi@tch alot on how much he makes and spends? So we're not gonna see this fight! Cool I hope your happy. And we're not gonna see GGG vs. Canelo either. If GGG is too poor to make competitive fights then he can stay at the kiddie table fighting the usual bums he gladly pays then $500K.

they wnat to see it but they understand simple math. jacobs asking for 3-5 million means the fight can't be made because jacobs isn't popular and brings nothing. if he was as popular as kell brook for example then yes that would be possible but since hes not, its not possible. blame jacobs for not knowing his own popularity.

canelo just made 3 million to fight smith. jacobs wants 3 to 5 million to fight ggg. this isn't pricing yourself out how?

check the ratings. canelo's popularity is falling. ggg's is rising. sorry!
