everyone in their right mind that isnt a tito nutt hugger till death, knows that dlh beat him

mosley did beat dlh the 1st time around, but the second fight was dlh's
sturm vs dlh was close, could have maybe been a draw, so see that fight start to finish and score the rounds, you'll see, maybe sturm should have not given dlh so much respect for his power

What Im trying to say is there is absolutely positively no shame in going at it with a guy like Whitaker and winning a close decision that some believe went the wrong way...again Whitaker was one of the very best p4p fighters in the world when he fought Oscar and if you throw aside real bul**** like Whitaker's loss to JL Ramirez then Oscar in my mind was the first guy to legitly beat Sweat Pea.

The Whitaker that fought Tito....now that is a different story.
True....the Whitaker that fought Tito was not the same animal that fenced with Oscar.

John John Molina who was an excellent fighter at the time, and was completely stifled by Oscar

Rafael Ruelas....in an unbelieveable performance where Oscar made quick work of him in two rounds. Ruelas was highly regarded at the time also

Gernaro Hernandez.....who was a majory victory for the current P4P number 1 fighter in Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Jesse James Leija who at the time was an excellent fighter although he originally started at lower weights.

Julio Cesar Chavez....all time great who only had 1 loss on his record, and yeah....you could say JCC was past his prime but I still say it was impressive

Miguel Angel Gonzales, undefeated at the time and Oscar fought a brilliant fight.....winning a decision.

Pernell Whittaker....sure people claim Whittaker was robbed, but I don't buy it. Oscar was the effective aggressor and he clearly won the fight

Macho Camacho.....sure you could claim he was past his prime, but he remained a dangerous fighter because of his will.

Wilfredo Rivera.....a durable now journeyman who at the time posed a major threat to top names....and gave Sweet Pea a hell of a fight

Ike Quartey.....who was a total wrecking ball, and possessed (still does) one of the best jabs in the sport. I suppose you could point to that decision and call it a "robbery" but it was a close fight, and the last time I watched it....I scored it in favor of Oscar.

Oba Carr....if any of you know boxing....you'd know that he was an outstanding fighter at the time and Oscar came on strong in the later rounds and really took the fight to him stopping him.

Felix Trinidad.....he was pretty much robbed outright and you need to rewatch the fight if you don't belive that.

Shane Mosley.....he was totally robbed in the second encounter...and if you don't think so, you need to go back and watch the fight

That's outside of the beatdown Mayorga recieved.
Agree that he has beaten good opposition, but you have to admit that most of those guys where past their prime or Oscar was just too big for them, specially at 130-135, his 1st real test was Ike and it was controversial. He has only beaten one undefeated fighter in Miguel Angel Gonzalez, unless you want to include Sturm.

Yes he was a big 130-135 pound fighter but it is what it is...

Many many experts simply said Quartey is too big for OScar and had Ike stopping the Golden Boy-Ike was the pick.

Whitaker was basically undefeated when he fought Oscar-he was REALLY robbed against Joes Luis Ramirez.

Genaro Henrnadez was undefeated and far from "past their prime" as you seem to suggest.

****, Chavez was 97-1 when he fought Oscar, Shane Mosely was 32-0 and on a huge KO streak....

Boruk your supposed to love the mexicans, love the mexicans!

Who do you like if Oscar and Tito stepped back into the ring iun 6 months? Would you let that fight speak once and for all who the better man is?

what Im trying to say is....your not giving Goldie quite enough credit. More importantly you know it too.

I don't hate Oscar cuz of his nationality. I think he's 100% gringo btw. If Oscar and Tito met again in Sept I would give the edge to Tito and I would let the fight speak for itself.

oscar's resume is a little padded... some of the guys were small, some old, some came out of their championship weight class just to make a payday(hernandez, molina)

but he did fight tito, ike and shane at the right time... and while he lost to shane, the fights with tito and ike were very close and you have to give him some credit for fighting the 3 undefeated fighters.. some may argue that shane was small, coming up from 135, skipping 140 and going staight to 147 to fight oscar...

So Molina for the most part was a lightweight so what....he was a seasoned killer and Oscar with only 16 pro fights under his green belt took him on and handled him with relative ease...

There should be no questioning a performance like this...it is very rare you see a prospect with 16 pro fights step up into this kind of class this early....pointing out the weight issue is a bit shaddy, Oscar should be praised for this fight and that is the only way you can go on that one.

If Oscar beats Floyd in dramatic fashion, he's top 10 all time in greatness. I really don't care what anyone else believes, because that's a fact: no two ways about it.

That would be a story book ending to an already outstanding career, on top of his contributions to the sport.

Tito fans and Oscar fans should both say "**** the first fight" winner take all in the rematch...they both are past thier primes...it's perfect!
