All the WBA defences he made prior to beating Geale were the same as the WBA defences Jacobs is making now.
Are we counting Danny Jacobs reigning MW Champ now as well?
It doesn't matter if somebody thought he was better. He wasn't well known back then and held basically what is an interim title.
His WBA defence count is 5 at this juuncture. 17?? lmao
hahahh
good one Burt
Golovkin's groupies will accept that rubbish, but why are the media staying silent?Comment

It's BS but it is whatever the WBA say it is. They didn't just make the rules up for Golovkin. I shouldn't worry about it, ****'s meaningless anyway unless it really bothers you that GGG fans are going to be crowing about the "MW title defense record'. Does it?All the WBA defences he made prior to beating Geale were the same as the WBA defences Jacobs is making now.

rubbish !
since when ?
since the WBA said ?
you can't be serious ?
they have 3 " champs " because of greed
the WBC do that so they can collect 3 sanctioning fee's per division
how could you possibly support that ?
we need less "champs", not more..... boxing needs 1 champ per division, not "whatever the WBA say"
so, basically..... we should undermine boxing history, and disrespect Hopkins record, for this reason.....because the WBA's greed enabled it, and because you like Golovkin?Comment

Floyd don't take toughest challenges so why fight GGG?
He didn't fight brook or Thurman but berto instead.
That's all we need to knoiwComment

No you misunderstand. We can say it's whatever you want, but the record books will continue to state that he's been champ since he first won that title whether it's BS or not. I know it's crap, you know it's crap, but that doesn't change the way it'll be recorded. The rules haven't been changed specifically for Golovkin, he's merely the beneficiary of the absurd multiplication of titles. And yes. Absolutely. There should be one title per division. And 'disrespecting Hopkins'? You're probably more concerned than the old man is himself. He's secure in his legacy and history will make of Golovkin what it will. That's for the boxing fans and pundits of the future to decide when they look back with a cooler eye.rubbish !

the rules, were changed specifically for greed
so, I refuse to recognize that " change "
not sure why the media is running with it, as it is obviously rubbish
they should know better
you made some fair points, but the WBC do not have 3 champions..... they have a champ, they have a #1 contender, and they have a..... not sure who the other guy isComment
