    He was very good..

Good steady pressure fighter with good power.. Not the quickest, and could be robotic.

I would rate kovolev higher, but dariusZ had better stamina..

If you could mix abraham and kovolev in a blender you would get dariusZ

Interesting how Virgil Hill who he beat to unify 175 is in the International Boxing Hall of Fame, but Dariusz is not.
The wbo wasnt very noteworthy in the 90s and early 2000s as it is now and many of his defenses were against common opponents with Jones or no name mandatories

Hill fought and beat clearly better opposition than DM

Virgil Hill went on to win the WBA title at cruiserweight 2 TIMES after his losses to Jones and DM

further more...Before he fought DM and Jones, he took Henry Maske undefeated record, went 43-1 and only lost to legendary Tommy Hearns at that point with wins over former champions and top contenders Marvin Camel, Leslie Stewart, Drake Thadzi, Adolpho Washington, Bobby Czyz, James Kinchen, Frank Tate, Leslie Steward, Fabrice Tiozzo, Lou Del Valle

and 20 defenses over 2 reigns at 175

he deserved to be in the hall more than DM who in his own right, may get in one day

Germany was God awful about screwing fighters in the 80s and 90s

I dont blame Jones one bit

He was the star, he was the more accomplished fighter, so come to the USA, Neutral ground or bust

2nd best light heavy of that era. But when there's a Roy Jones in your division, that's to be expected. Biggest issue is he refused to leave Germany.

I could see that....the 160 version of Abraham

IDK if I'd put him over DM yet....if kovalev defeats Ward, then most definitely

man a fight with he and kovalev would have been epic

A lot of average competition on his record too and never really left Germany, but as i say, there's a few decent names on it too that he beat.

I was a bit young to see him fight. Was he very good, or a bit of a Sven Ottke?

Graciano Rocchigiani had him in trouble in their first fight (when Graciano was still close to / in his prime), landing tons of uppercuts and hooks. Unfortunately, Dariusz got the win through DQ when he faked an injury from an illegal blow, at a point where he was clearly behind on the cards. The acting looked quite ridiculous, watch it here:

In reality, he was hardly affected by that one shot. but he knew he was losing, and would possibly get knocked down (or even out) in the next round or two.

It was a disgrace, hence the booing. The German media had always hated Rocchigiani for manhandling their beloved Henry Maske in their first fight (which Maske unfairly won on points). Rocchigiani had that tough guy / villain image, and the German media don't like that - they had (and still have) this idea of the gentleman boxer, which is also the reason why the Klitschko brothers were so popular (and Wlad still is).
