2012: Mayweather vs Cotto 1.5 million
2013: Mayweather vs Canelo 2.2 million
    2014: Canelo vs Angulo 350k
    2014: Cotto vs Martinez 315k
    2015: Cotto vs Canelo 900k
    2016: Canelo vs Khan 450k

Look at those numbers, and than realize that the split for Canelo v Cotto was 25/75 in favor of Cotto, despite Canelo putting up better numbers vs common opposition. Even his fight vs Angulo had better numbers than Cottos vs Martinez. Yet Canelo accepted a 75/25 split to prove he's the new ppv king! To prove he's the Uncontested A-Side from there on out until someone knocks him off his throne

Than you look at GGG, his PPV was a complete failure with 100k buys, yet his joke of a team thinks he deserves a 60/40 split vs the current king of PPV!? Lmfao

You are implying that by not fighting GGG he will get paid more for later fights. What are you basing that off of?

Seems like you are implying that a GGG fight will destroy Canelo as a fighter and will prevent him from getting good pay days later on in his career... could happen but I doubt it

Canelo accepted a payday of under $10 million total to face Floyd and that was a much bigger fight and Canelo was a bigger draw. If GGG sticks by his unrealistic 60/40 demand, he's effectively pricing himself out. GGG needs to seize this opportunity if he wants a shot at ppv stardom because at age 34, he only has so many prime years left, and a career high 8 figure payday plus upside is nothing to sneeze at.

The guy that claims 97k for Ggg also claims 650k for Cotto and 320k for Khan fyi. I wonder what he reports for Smith lol.

Canelo also was the challenger to Cotto. Same here though Ggg is a much more legit MW champ who Canelo must fight to regain respect. See how Max was punking him after his great Smith win, and promised more of the same until he sacks up

Canelo vs Angulo still did 2-3x more than the best GGG can do

He wasn't a bigger draw, hed never headlined Ppv. Lots of potential but that's it, barely legit as a champ then. And he got most of his purse in Ppv upside. @,za,s

Canelo's purse was $5M and when you combine it with ppv, it still reportedly came under $10M total. That was the highest grossing ppv in history at the time and no doubt Canelo's large Mexican/Mexican American fan base contributed a lot to it.
