I'm not gonna go as far to conclude that 3G "didn't want" the Ward fight...but I will say that I am 100% convinced that Ward didn't duck Golovkin. Ward ain't ducking nobody. I mean ****, look who he's about to fight for f**k's sake.

guy guys just don't have an objective bone in your body. i'm going to vegas to watch ward fight. paying 500 bucks each for two tickets. flights. hotels. i am one of the biggest andre ward fans in the world. but i'm not a fanboy like you guys. i am objective. give it a try. andre ward is not perfect! he signed an extension with joe goossen, who did him a lot of favors in getting him good money and fights in america in the SS, only to hold out. he's largely responsible for his promotional inactivity. yes, kelly pavlik lost his mind. yes, he broke two bones in his hand in the froch fight. no, he didn't duck lucian bute, who fought scrubs and got annihilated by a guy ward beat handily.


this is called objectivity. don't watch a guy crap all over a fight, act like he still wants the fight, and then call ME the fanboy.

The Hopkins fight showed why Ward wouldn't meet Dawson at lightheavy or even a 170 catchweight ,instead of looking for greatness,that was left to a drained Dawson.Why couldn't Ward have done 164 when he made Dawson drop a whole division? He's only gone up for Kovalev now hes outgrown his own division.Double standards.

In interviews lately, he's focused as fk. No joke. But, when you're promoting a Kovalev fight and you get asked every day about Golovkin faking a call-out, you are inevitably going to get tired of it and just dish some real-talk. The guy tried to be tasteful about it for a long time but Sanchez just kept yapping, making up lies.

Ward talks about K2 and GGG all the time. He claims to be above the Frey but is the one making weak nick-names. He called Floyd lil-Floyd to try to goad him.

Ward calling out a MW when he had just fought at LHW and we know now couldn't even make SMW is just a pathetic plow.

Ward knows he'll have 15-20 pounds on GGG in the weight department, is longer and taller. It would be a test for GGG, of course.

And a test like that you take when the other guy is on top, not when he hasn't fought but twice in 4 years and was not looking to rebuild his brand before the fit.

Kov v Ward will probably not break even 500k on ppv because Ward hasn't fought anyone in four years. And he isn't known outside of hardcore fans.

GGG wouldn't fight Ward the same way. He didn't even fight Lemiuex the same way he fought Brook so this is a pointless statement imo.

That's the truth

People don't want to hear the truth and are still going to hate on what Ward said. It's the truth, those style fighters will give him trouble all day long. Which is why they really didn't want to fight Ward, why they won't acknowledge Lara and why someone like Demetrius Andrade would be problems for GGG. I don't know how his chin really is but if it can hold be very careful with Danny Jacobs. It has nothing to do with hating GGG, it's just that styles make fights.
