Lil g fans cant use Ward/Kovalev to argue about a sooner date because Ward/Kovalev worked out exactly as planned.

They set the showdown a year ago and Nov 19th it is happening.

Leoffler should just come out and say an agreement in principle has been reached, name the date on Golden Boy's offer, and says the details are being negotiated.

    Take the damned fight!

Canelo should fight Lemieux or Curtis Stevens.

First no fight because he won't drop weight even though been saying for 5 years 154 or 168. Now they get 160 and still phuk boys got excuses. I feel bad for GGG fans this is why he keeps fighting bums and has a crap resume at 35 years old. Nothing but clowns running his career. He will be 49 before he has a single relevant fight. How many different fighters and promoters have to expose their lies and put them on blast before he fans smarten up. Enjoy fights against wade because thats all ggg wants. Will never step it up for you guys. LMAO
You just combined all the Kool Aid flavor GGG fans keep drinking. The guy can do know wrong. No Lara, no Ward, and maybe no Canelo, at some point you have to quit blaming everyone else and look at the common denominator.

Ward and Canelo's one year contract stunts are three pronged. One to save face, two to guarantee themselves a purse even if they lose during that stretch of time, and three bank on that the opponent they face a year later somehow loses and they can say they lost I don't need to fight case closed. Ward can run but he can't hide. Kovalev will show Ward on Novemeber 19th the price to pay for playing games.

There's no big deal signing contracts that far out. First of all it can be a preliminary contract with "what if" clauses inserted - such as what if one loses. Then 3 months out you sign the full contract. I don't know if this happens in Boxing but it is common in the real estate business round the world.

The only issue as I see it is that I'm sure Golovkin is sliding off his peak. He isn't the same fighter as he was 2 years ago and he will be a lesser fighter in a year's time. I'm not saying big differences - maybe 3-5% - but at elite levels those small margins count.

It may be no PPV upside just no way to know? But $10 mil at 160
is a solid offer, one where G could get the fight and make the huge
statement he and his team has wanted in the last couple of yrs.

GGG could of had ward and/or Canelo this year if he lived up to 154 or 168. Killed both fights over weight demands. Now he has a offer at his new revised 160 and 160 only talk and still the chump ain't sign. There is a reason people why his career has been wasted and at 35 not a single relevant fight. And it's because they want him to fight low risk bums like wade. All these fights that nobody is asking for while others keep exposing them as liars and frauds. Canelo able to make big fights fans want with other fighters his entire career. Ward able to make big fights with other more dangerous fighters. But sure everyone is just ducking GGG. Or maybe his team are a bunch of idiots and liars who just want him to fight bums rather then step up and take a risk? Hmmm

I would agree with signing contract that far out but it's two main issues here which would make perfect sense, first being GGG has a mando he has to take care of and other being he wants the unification with billy hoe... So yes a contract this long out not to mention loeffler already on record not having a problem with fight taking place in September makes perfect sense
