I know GGG said 154-168 several years ago just like Ward said he would drop down to 154 for Mayweather. So that is a wash right there.

But at the time, that was a more than fair offer. #1 160 vs #1 168. Meet in the middle. And 50/50 when GGG had higher ratings.

Why did Andre tuck like a transgender?
Do you remember when the 164 talk started? Right when Ward came back at some 170 catchweight. They knew he couldn't possibly go down to 164.

Why did Golovkin refuse to give up one pound for Canelo when Canelo was the A-side but offered 158 to Rosado?

Loeffler feels that Golovkin is the A-side in any negotiations with Ward, which means they would expect to get a good deal from the negotiations. However, it’s a doable fight as long as Ward is A. willing to accept a 50-50 deal. B Agreeable to a 164lb catch-weight. C. is ready to fight.

“GGG is now clearly the ‘A’ side yet Ward still would want to dictate terms, which makes no sense,” Loeffler said. “GGG would fight Ward on a 50-50 basis, the best 160-pounder versus the best 168-pounder (at) 164 (and) a 50-50 split on all proceeds. But it seems like Ward needs more tune-up fights.”

                why laugh?

you're saying this quote was completely made up? tell me you don't have an agenda. just LOL

                  Canelo held MW title.

did GGG hold any SMW title where he's obligated to defend at 168?

                  answer the question.

same reason Golovkin won't fight Canelo at 155
