I'm honestly just sick of Bob. And tbh, I wish he would have maybe coughed up some more money to make a fight with Broner. Would have been so much more interesting than what we are going to get now. Pac Vargas is like the last fight I wanted to see. Smh
I think this still comes down to the fighters. Haymon did overpay his fighters and Broner and Danny Garcia is now having issues stepping up for career paydays. Bob Arum is leaving out how Thurman stepped up and said he would take that money with no response at least publicly. So Arum is trying to generalize this problem when it only seems to be DG and Broner.
Thurman and Pac would have done the same #'s as broner vs Pac IMO.
It was a flat 4 million with no ppv upside, but given his current situation I think he should have took the opportunity. Rightfully, he has Pride in his worth, but sometimes you have to take on a risk to get future rewards.
Kathy Duva predicted this last year in March and she got ripped as being a hater, but she was right.
PBC was never going to be able to continue to pay their fighters the amount of money they were paying them early on. I think the fighters were under the assumption that if they got $1M, they were going to get the same amount, or maybe even more, a year later. That's just not how it works. You can't pay every fighter on your roster $1M. They had more money to spend early on to build the brand and get fans interested. Now that they're more established, you'll notice that the money isn't the same.
They're having issues putting together Garcia vs. Berto and Broner wants more money to face Pac.
It was a legit offer. Even Broner acknowledged it and said that Arum needs to pay him what he's worth!
$4 seems like a pretty good deal to me! Maidana made $3mil for his first fight with Floyd.

it was offered. Broner took to Twitter after the news broke and sad something like pay me what I'm worth biotch!
I figured it was legit, but it gets harder to know nowadays with all the politicking and people looking for big paydays without the challenges. Thanks for the confirmation on that.
I think Broner is more delusional than any "easy" payday Haymon gave him. And for sure Broner is still worth more than anyone with his caliber of wins with 2 L's in the game today, but the reality is he does have 2 L's & he could make himself even more viable with a fight with Manny let alone a W over Manny. Everyone gets rub just from fighting Manny & Floyd so its a win win for Broner whatever happens & the upside would be huge if he won & he can start talking big money from that point..

no way. Broner is way more known than Thurman and will sell the fight more.

exactly. He wasn't looking at the big picture. Beating manny makes him even bigger.
these dam haymon fighters know how much they are worth i bet that is quiet annoying for someone like arum who been ripping his fighters off his entire career. i thought it was reported tho that broner was never actually offered 4 mil and was actually offered almost half that
