canelos fanbase was already 5 times bigger than ggg's, the kid was hotter than a tamale... the results are there... just look at the city tour, there was more canelo fans on almost every city and it wasnt even close...

exactly. GGG hasn't proven himself a superstar and canelo has.

GGG needs to take this fight as is and if he wins then good on him.

There's no denying that Canelo is a bigger draw than GGG. That's not up for debate. Mexico is a boxing rich nation and there are millions upon millions of Mexicans living here in the States.

What I'm debating is those who are implying that Canelo is some sort of Floyd Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao in terms of stardom and drawing power. He's far from and his stardom is actually fading ever since his blatant duck of GGG.

of course is unfair, everything has to happen on ggg's terms..."canelo, you need to fight at 160 or no fight, and give me big slice of the pie"...

what happens when/if Golovkin Brook makes comparable money to Canelo Smith? The difference is Canelo's fanbase is shrinking and Golovkin's is growing.

I wouldn't matter what terms would be offered to GGG, If he accepted the fight Canelo would find a way out of it, he clearly has no intentions of ever fighting GGG

Mayweather was triple the draw and Canelo only got $5mil guarantee, it was the 2nd highest grossing fight in history and Canelo made around $12 mil total when all said and done.

Fanbase shrinking, credibilty etc..... Heard that all before when Mayweather was accused of ducking Pacquiao, didn't affect him much did it?
