He can have all the chips on his side for the rematch.
There won't be a rematch. Did Vargas rematch Tito? This is probably gonna be less competitive

Then he finally gets that high profile name. He just needs to take what is offered at this point because Oscar and Bernard are crapping their pants over Canelo losing to Golovkin.

if ggg beats canelo he wont need a rematch, he could continue to fight bums and sell that on ppv, and that would double his income...

And Canelo can't generate as much as Oscar. Bud, Khan got Ppv upside. This is the biggest fight in boxing, get it?

That's fine. As I said, both camps are making outrageous demands right now. Golovkin's team with his 50/50 and Oscar with his flat fee BS.

Loeffler has also publicly stated that after Canelo gives up the WBC belt they're willing to negotiate anything, including weight.

I don't think that Canelo is worth going to 154/155 for. But something like 157-158 and 75/25 on PPV splits and guaranteed money is fair for both.

then Canelo doesnt need GGG and should just move on. Because by your logic Canelo can make the same money fighting a Charlo or Ishe Smith or something, since according to you GGG brings nothing to the table.....

Up and coming Canelo, Cotto, highly ranked P4P JMM, undeafeted Hatton. There were lesser ones thrown in like Oritiz, Guerrero, and Maidana but each was coming off big wins or in Maidana's case a close lose to Floyd for the second one which was bigger than the first.

Plus the Showtime ones Floyd had a sweetheart deal so he could mess around and make no less than 32 million, even if he was in line to make 100 32 is still good and he made more than 50 in several fights. Sure the Manny fight was obviously the biggest but that was always why it was going to be done before the end because no one is leaving that on the table, which is the same argument for Canelo in this case unless either guy falls off.

Canelo is not as big a star a Floyd, does not have as good a deal as Floyd and does not have the list of names available to make big cash.

What is Canelo's next best option smart guy?
No the narrative changed over the years as Floyd kept making other big fights outside of Manny. Before everyone said he had to fight him because no other big fights which looking back now look ridiculous and he ultimately got the Manny fight COMPLETELY on his terms.

As for Canelo I will give it a shot Canelo could rematch Cotto, he could rematch Floyd throwing more money then anybody else can offer to lure him out of retirement, he could fight Manny who is desperate for money, he could fight Saunders, he can fight Bradley, hell he just did almost 600k to fight Khan who is with Haymon so literally throw in any of those Haymon big names who can make 154 and all would be big events that make Canelo more money then GGG will ever see. The point is when you the A side big fights will always present themselves and there will be tons of fighters looking to make career paydays who ain't dumb as rocks like GGG for turning it down.

Golovkin should call his bluff. Not down with a catchweight, but if it is money the real value is in beating Canelo.

He doesn't need to take what's offered if it's a humiliating offer. If respectable, sure, nobody has ever said Ggg priced himself out
