As for Canelo I will give it a shot Canelo could rematch Cotto, he could rematch Floyd throwing more money then anybody else can offer to lure him out of retirement, he could fight Manny who is desperate for money, he could fight Saunders, he can fight Bradley, hell he just did almost 600k to fight Khan who is with Haymon so literally throw in any of those Haymon big names who can make 154 and all would be big events that make Canelo more money then GGG will ever see. The point is when you the A side big fights will always present themselves and there will be tons of fighters looking to make career paydays who ain't dumb as rocks like GGG for turning it down.

I will grant you the Cotto rematch but Floyd is not coming back for Canelo. The rest are all worse options than Golovkin by a good margin, sure Canelo can do decent but without real high end fights mixed in that people are clamoring for to a degree his star will start to shrink.

So yea Golovkin is on the lower pay scale and needs the fight more but I never said anything about that. Canelo's options are not that good outside of a Cotto rematch and that is not exactly an easy fight to make with the first fight being decent but not all that great. So sooner rather than later if he wants the Golovkin fight he will end up dealing because that is by far the best option. Golovkin should already be dealing but since he is already playing the waiting game, that can work out for him if he plays his cards correctly.

I don't think a flat-fee would be a problem as long as it's a fair offer (ie-more than what Khan allegedly received similar to what Hopkins took for Dela Hoya).

There's no question Canelo is the clear A-side, he's more of a celebrity than a boxer. But Golovkin does have some definite leverage. For one thing, a Golovkin fight is the biggest money fight Canelo can take (by far). Another is that Canelo now needs to save face with his fans and critics. He openly ducked Golovkin vacating a belt he never should've fought for in the first place. Finally Golovkin will be the undisputed champion (possibly all 4 belts by the end of this calendar year).

And that's if things stay like they are. If Golovkin's international brand blows up b/c of his upcoming fights in the UK, and he knocks off some decent names like Jacobs & Rameriz (in San Antonio), his stock will shoot up. If Canelo's fights in September, December, and May do lower than expected, his stock drops and the they start getting closer market-wise.

The guy forfeited the belt, now his promoter is saying no upside and you're hoping Team Ggg don't price themselves out? How do you live with yourself, de****able worm?

bingo!!! the money that comes after the fight is the one that will make the difference on ggg's career... of course there is always the risk on losing to canelo and i think ggg is very aware of that...

No need to extend GGG special privilege.
Look dummy:. Eubank was offered 10x more to fight Ggg than he got for BJ. Saunders is passing on multiples of his career high, and I bet he was also offered upside. Just like Lemieux was, and how Khan got upside from Canelo lol

Yeah its annoying as fuck. I figured this shit ended with Floyd and Manny. Now we see the same crap from the GGG( ex Manny) guys-the offer is a duck. GGG deserves more. He should turn it down. GTFO!!

A fighter turns an offer down because he thinks a better offer will come. Ok we don't like that but thats the nature of the business. Just don't be selective with your outrage.

See, you ill kill others when they do it but not GGG. This kind of bias is what makes the forum shit.

Have some integrity for a change. When GGG does what others do, kill him the same way you killed them.

Why wouldn't you hope that team Canelo sacks up, cretin? That seems to be a more immediate obstacle
