Canelo, Saunders, Jacobs, & maybe you can throw in Eubank are all fights GGG has to have before he can officially move up to 168. GGG is campaigning at 160. If he leaves the division now, there will always be the narrative at the back of people's minds that he didn't do everything he could to prove he's the best 160 (aka, they'll say he ducked those fights). But that's just 4 fights. After 4 fights, he will have no choice but to move to 168. And don't doubt that he'll fight Zurdo before he gets all 4 of those 160 fights. Those who love to throw shade on GGG as a boxer are just plain hating. The KO-streak proves his skills. And although the Brook fight is a mismatch, it's not a cherry-pick. It's the result of circumstances that are beyond GGG's control (guys who ducked him). Now, demanding he get better fights is not a bad thing...it's actually what all boxing fans should want. However, GGG can't force these guys into the ring...they have to sign on their own volition. But if you hate on GGG without ever acknowledging that he got ducked left-&-right by boxers (not just within his own division), then you are always going to be considered either a hater or a casual fan. This is boxing, folks! You let your fists do the talking. And until GGG gets unseated from his throne, no one can argue against results. If GGG truly was a hype train, why aren't there countless guys jumping at the chance to fight him? Food for thought...doesn't the same "results" argument apply to FMJ?
I predict GGG adds another KO to his resume come Saturday.
Football is in, so I'm out.

Or....he could fight Zurdo before 2018...which would make the whole thing moot.

BJS's excuse for not fighting GGG right away was that he wanted a voluntary before taking the challenge. He hasn't fought since. So, you tell me, does that sound like a boxer who really wants to challenge himself? Getting the Canelo fight isn't a guarantee anymore for BJS...he might not get that fight. Simply because he balked at the idea of fighting Rosado to set up the Canelo showdown. So, Canelo could just pass him over (which I believe is going to happen; Canelo will likely choose the winner of Munroe/Rosado). What's the lesson to be learned here? BJS should have never passed on the opportunity to fight GGG (or Canelo)...and as long as BJS has the WBO, GGG will be looking his way at every turn. BJS gets no passes.

Look, there's simply no point in GGG hanging around at 160 after those 4 fights...you can even throw Eubank Jr. out of those 4 if you wanted...who cares about a fighter who only wants to fight domestic level competition. Or BJS can be thrown out too if he fights Canelo & loses. So really, if things shake out, GGG will be primed to move up to 168 in 2018. By then, if he's still undefeated, only big names would be viable. So, there is potential that he could very well become undisputed at 168 as well. And that's taking all things positive. Even if he loses at any point from now until 2018, he'll still be able to box at world-level...that's more than enough to compete at 168. Barring some unforeseen career-ending injury, the guy could fight well into his 40's. He's taken very little damage his entire career. I have no doubt that he can perform well late into his twilight years.

What happened to you, Shadoww702?...you used to be such a respectful boxing fan. I'm not throwing shade on any of your favorite fighters. And I'm definitely not trying to get boxing fans mad. I'm just trying to tell it how it is. The history is in the research. I'm always taken aback when guys have such impossible standards for GGG, but don't enforce those same standards on other champions. So when I say something to set the record straight, you took offense? The goal was always to support the sport of boxing. So, you have a vendetta against me or something?
NVM...I figured it out. You're not the same Shadow702 from Vegas that I'm talking about. Carry on with your hating...

Negotiated the fight in the media like ALWAYS to make Saunders looks bad and a ducker.
