It was an early stoppage. Byrd stopped the fight after the 4 count and then had to physically restrain Jacobs on the mat when Jacobs was clearly trying to get up. You don't have a clue.

Jacobs probably should've went to a knee and watched Byrd count, but since that was Jacobs first time getting knocked down, I can't say he has too much experience getting dropped.
But yeah, when the ref stops the fight at the 4 count, then has to physically hold down the fighter trying to get up while saying "I'm good", I have a problem with that.

Byrd ended that too quick! Jacobs was ready to rock n roll at 4 or 5!

If Jacobs gets up and is cross eyed, stop the fight.
If Jacobs gets up and gets put back down by Pirog while looking out of it, stop the fight.
But to reach the count of 4 while Jacobs is clearly not KO'd and then stop the fight while physically holding the guy down from rising back to his feet, that's an early stoppage.

His best bet is to stay on the outside and box.
