Early stoppage my arse! There's no rule that says the ref has to count to 10 before he can stop a fight. Byrd had already waved it off and was kneeling down checking on Jacobs when Danny came to and started trying to get up.

I guess you never heard of fighters taking the full 8 count to get up from a knockdown?

Sure, there's no rule saying the ref has to count to 10, but damn, it's not like Jacobs was out cold twitching or like Hatton, Pac or James Kirkland.

You had two undefeated fighters with neither fighter taking any real punishment outside of the Knockdown. The least he could've done was count to 8.

He knew he fcuked up, that's why Byrd had to physically restrain Jacobs from getting up to make the stoppage look more worthy.

      It was an early stoppage.

But either way, GGG vs Jacobs will happen later this year or early next year. And Jacobs will put the paws on GGG.

Then you will be missing like the rest of the Pac fans in May 2015

Jacobs didn't take a knee, you idiot. He went down flat on his back like he'd been shot in the head and he still didn't seem to know where he was for 2/3 minutes after the stoppage!

I was never a pac fan, and it's going to be interesting to see what happens with your account after Jacobs either ducks GGG or gets KTFO by him.

Never said Jacobs took a knee.

I said how do you know he wasn't taking advantage of the 8 count instead of being out of it?

You don't. No one does. What we do know is as soon as Byrd stopped the fight at the count of 4 or 5, Jacobs shot up and Byrd had to physically restrain him.

Yes. Jacobs is really kicking ass. He showed tremendous power and great speed and accuracy in destroying Kid Chocolate and the other 10 guys. Many on here say the middleweight division is weak. Jacobs is a very strong and very dangerous middleweight with exceptional hand speed and great punching power in both hands.

Sturm won his title in the ring(even tho he won it from a dude who won a vacant title aswell...did GGG?
