Golovkin has fought off HBO before while under contract when he fought in Monte Carlo. The problem here is Haymon is not going bid big knowing 75℅ of the purse goes to Golovkin. You think he's going to invest that much money for a someone who isn't his own fighter and in all likelihood will knock Jacobs out? Get real.

Either they will try to make a deal before a purse bid or Jacobs pulls out.

If it goes to purse bids Golovkin is dropping the belt.

They will want no part of the purse bid process just like Kathy Duva and Kovalev didn't against Adonis Stevenson.

They would probably be happy if it goes to a purse bid since Golovkin would get 75℅ of the purse. If Al Haymon wants to bid big, he would be paying mostly just for Golovkins purse.

I can't imagine HBO letting GGG fight on PBC, which is what Haymon would obviously have in mind if he were to win the purse bid.

Haha all that to avoid Golovkin? We already know Golovkin isn't will to drop any of his belts since unifying is important to him. Haymon is not going to bid big knowing 75℅ of the purse will go to Golovkin. Haymon bids on fights that his fighters actually want. Of they don't want to fight he won't bid. This isn't some Game of Thrones strategy here, Haymon doesn't care about fighters that aren't his own.

75% will never go to Golovkin though, because the fight will never happen. Haymon loses nothing in that scenario. His fighter gains a world title or loses his mandatory spot which he would have anyway.

Haymon likely sees one of his champions snuffed out by ko, and it cost him big time.

GGG still goes back to HBO with more follows, obtained from pbc.

GGG will never vacate the title. If for some reason this goes to a purse bid and Haymon wins the title, GGG will just embarrass Jacobs and knock him out in 2 rounds in front of the demographic audience and. It will be a day to remember when you see an actual quality fighter on PBC/Showtime.
