I was only joking: I guess that GGG doesn't like very much the "Russian mobsters" -- OK, he had to fight in Monaco vs Ishida (in 2013), Adama (2014), and Murray (2015)... isn't it enough?

The last time Golovkin tried to fight his WBA mandatory:
N'Dam waited til the day before the purse bid to vacate his title rather than face Golovkin.Oleg Hermann, manager of WBA “regular” middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (22-0, 19 KOs), informed Allboxing.ru, that certain obstacles have been removed to prevent a fight between his boxer and the WBA's "Super champion" at 160-pounds, Felix Sturm (36-2-2, 15 KOs). A fight was ordered between Golovkin and WBA interim-champ Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam (26-0, 17 KOs), but on Wednesday night the French boxer vacated his title and walked away from the fight.
“WBA interim champion Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam (26-0, 17 KOs) has relinquished his title and his chance to fight Gennady. A purse bid for this fight should have taken place on Thursday but hence N’Jikam had made a decision to withdraw for good. Given that, Gennady has no mandatory challenger ahead of him, he is absolutely free to hunt down Felix Sturm who is recognized as a super champion" said Hermann.
“Now we wait for the WBA to sanction the fight with Sturm. Gennady is the mandatory challenger to Felix. Maybe this fight will happen in April. The countdown for the collision is on."
Team Golovkin are going to receive a taste of bad news, as Sturm has reached an agreement to fight former WBC champion Sebastian Zbik on April 13 in Germany.

Stop lying! You don't remember Jacobs saying even if he got double the Quillin payday, he still wouldn't take that because GGG is so amazing, and he could just fight "two Quillin's" instead? He don't want a "career high payday." He wants more than double is previous career high. Not $9 mil, you're right, he said it didn't have to be "eight figures" so he's not expecting $10 mil or $9 mil, but read between the lines. He's saying $3 mil isn't enough even though his career high is $1.5 mil. What he's saying, if you read between the lines, is he wants $5 mil or more, point blank. And is his name worth that? Is this fight going to generate enough money to pay the B side $5 mil? No it won't even with a generous split so that means he is ducking, point blank. When you demand more $ than the fight can reasonably generate for your side of the negotiation that is a duck, textbook duck.Comment
