And like I keep saying I don't even expect the money to be the biggest problem unless its Jacobs just not willing to fight for $2M cuz of the HBO/PBC fighters angle to this whole thing. Both en****** are seemingly pretty committed to their fighters & when there isn't a ton of money in a fight that network divide tends to make fights unmakeable. Big name HBO vs big name PBC fight issues are the new big name HBO vs big name Showtime fight issues.
Yeah with the insurance issues I could see them trying for Vegas. I do think there's more money there then people think.

You can call that one Jacobs vs Pirog 2.
He would be lucky to last 2 rounds with GGG.. Mora may beat him, won't be surprised

been hearing wba were going to enforce this, so let's hope they follow through. jacobs will have to take the fight - he's living of the belt he currently has. no belt, no "world title", where does he go from there. GGG holds them all (after destroying billy hoe next year at some point. no, this is good news and it's going to get made (one way or another).

          Lol.

K2 is BEYOND cheap and they DONT negotiate. We ALL know this but GGGTards can never seem to figure it out.

If you can't make profit off GGG your doing it SOMETHING wrong. They are the SD Chargers of boxing. Sht GGG just barely started making $2 million and he sells places out. They give him sht $$$$ and pocket the rest. They should of met Saunders in the middle and did the fight overseas. Could of made at least $10,000,000++

Bit why bother paying another boxer $2 millian when you can fight a BUM on house arrest 500K.

hopefully golovkin goes on a streak of fights, brook-jacobs-canelo/bjs then SMW. Would be a great test against some legit fighters, oppurtunity for him to cement legacy and great fights for fans

Don't disagree with you with this.

I'd like to see more HBO guys get a Eubank-like deal with Hearn & if a purse bid gets won by someone else then you are a free agent now. I think that would lead to more of these big fights with current HBO guys happening.

The whole thing with HBO boxing is kinda f#cked up these days. They got these contracts with fighters that keeps them on HBO, but HBO's budget doesn't allow for big fights to get made like it used to. So got a f#cked up catch 22 situation. Won't let guys fight outside of HBO (& fair enough they got the contract they got with their fighters that allows for that), but they can't pay fair market value or at least give fighters a chance to test their fair market value for fights that HBO isn't likely to be willing to pursue if its worth more than a certain amount.

I hope both fighters are successful next weekend! It still may be possible for the fight to happen in Brooklyn:

Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment CEO Brett Yormark, who runs Barclays Center and has made boxing a cornerstone of the programming at the building, said he believes that even with the increase in insurance costs there still will be regular boxing at a high level at his arena. In fact, he said he plans to announce two major cards in the coming weeks, both of which would take place before the end of the year, regardless of whether the commission changes the insurance language.

"I feel very confident that the major championship fights we have hosted will continue," Yormark said. "As far as my commitment, it will continue at the highest level. I don't think the ruling by the state will have a great impact on our boxing programming, but I can't speak for the smaller fights even though I am very supportive of all the promoters."

Now I just hope Jacobs doesn't disappoint me. BROOKLYN STAND UP!!!

Very true, technically Pirog is the closest to GGG that comes to mind. GGG is more aggressive and hits harder so itīs no wonder Jacobs literally wants that retirement money.
