^^^this exactly^^^ people forget who was in the super 6. And also people praised Froch when he retired for his record alone but forget he had an L next to it with Wards name beside it.
IDK why anyone has to bring up Ward anyways, I made this thread so Spence and GGG fans could see the hypocrisy in a lot of their statements. No matter what people say they are both good but havent fought anyone of note really. 1 is a champ and was given belts but in all reality if my crystal bal is correct the same will happen with Spence. No one will fight him and he will get a vacated or interim IBF belt...
tecnically neither are the champ considering neither guy has faced the highest contender
GGG didnt have to fight for 2 of his belts so the belts at 160 literally mean nothing...even BJS has 2 wins over 2 current top ten guys....Lee and Eubank....GGG only has Lemmie
Spence is just starting out...ggg is nearing the end. The hype train is strong for spence, and i hope for his sake he doesn't find himself in gggs position...near the end of career and still unable to secure big fights.
A wrecking ball at 160 no one is prepared to face unless their are overpaid as he will end their money earning days. He's cleared the place out as far as I'm concerned time to move up and prove himself an ATG with some credible wins at 168.

GGG has wins over Murray and Geale too, those guys were ranked at like 4th and 8th or some where at the time. Geale was his best win for me, huge Geale fan, the way he handled him i think i realised then why his opponents wanted paying by the truck load of cash.
But do you not see the hypocrisy in both fan bases? Basically I see Spence in the same situation as GGG in the next couple years. And as far as skill and fighting style, theres not to much of a difference.
Spence does not have a fan base yet. I'm hopeful that he will.
GGG has a very strong fan base (for a boxer).
I do see that Spence may be avoided, like Golovkin has been...but I wasn't sure if thats what you were getting at.

i take murray being "top ten" with a grain of salt considering he never beat a world rated opponent.
Geale was a good fighter, he was past it by the time GGG and cotto got to him imo...still a good win, didnt expect cotto to blitz him like that, kinda takes some luster off
