Gennady Golovkin is heading to the UK, being brought in as the opponent (if what I'm hearing on the fight is legit, Golovkin is simply getting his pay package and none of the actual upside on the event) to fight a world-rated (arguably top 3 147lbers in the world) British welterweight fighter, who also doubles as arguably the best fighter that Golovkin has ever faced in his 10-year run at 160lbs. try again.

Why are you calling Saul Alvarez a "former MW champ"? He's consistently told everyone that he's still a junior middleweight, he's basically fought no higher than the 154lbs +1 "rule" for junior middleweight fights not for world titles/ eliminators, and now (when a 154 title opportunity opens up, after Floyd had already beat Alvarez for two belts at 154) he's back to fighting at junior middleweight.

You've openly acknowledged that no actual world-level middleweight could actually make 155 and fight (with the hedge of maybe 1-2 guys being considered), yet you're saying that Alvarez fighting at 155lbs (a weight you've already said that no actual middleweight can make) makes him a legit MW?
I call Canelo "former MW champ" because he is in fact the former WBC MW champ (Nov 2015-May 2016) I didnt give him that title. The WBC did. Is he not the former WBC MW champ?

Canelo hasnt weighed within the SWW limit since 2013, the same year Ward last made the SMW limit of168. Should we still call Ward a 'legit' SMW? What do we call a fighter that has been fighting at, held belts, and still holds belts, at a particular weight? I dont know what "154+1" is, other than being a MW. Try telling the cop that pulls you over that you were only doing the "speed limit +1" and see what he says.

Maybe youre right though. I shouldn't call Saul Alvarez anything 'legit' other than a legit fraud

Look at this clown, trying to blatantly ignore the fact that Ward clearly started a bulk up, for the move to 175, once Golovkin and K2 made it clear that they didn't want the fight at any terms.

      try again
Ward hadn't fought at 168 in 2 years and had just fought at 172 when he sent the offer to GGG.

If you want to believe that GGG signing to fight him would have had some magical transformative effect on Ward's body so that he would have still been able to make 168 now, whereas, because GGG turned him down, Andre is now stuck at 175 for ever, then go ahead, believe it, but don't expect rational people like me to believe it also.

how could i have been so wrong for so long.........(asking myself)

If GGG is TRUELY that GREAT why doesn't he pull a Brook and go up 13 lbs and fight Ward??? It's not like hell get KO'd by slapping arms as you guys call him! Heck Brook has bigger balls than GGG. He moving UP to fight a KO artist and not a slapper lol...

Rational? You're anything but, you believe the Fury's are innocent and didn't take steroids. Their tests say they did.

Ward was 172lbs with three weeks to go to the Paul Smith fight! you can keep ignoring that point, but that doesn't change reality.

If you honestly believe that Andre Ward couldn't have worked off 4 pounds in three weeks, you're an idiot.

Wrong. Listen to what Virgil said about Ward's weight issue. He's walking around at 190/200lbs and has to work hard to get down to 175. Golovkin signing to fight him wouldn't have changed that.

3 years inactivity plus the natural tendancy of healthy men to get a little heavier during the late 20's/early 30's made Ward unable to fight at 168 any more. Golovkin had nothing whatever to do with it.

Ffs, why are you arguing with me about this when Ward and his trainer have both said that Andre can't make 168?

Send them a fucking email and tell them you know better.
