This Phuk boy gets it but keeps going on like he don't recognize that weight is the issue. Nobody cares about the belt Canelo won it simply because Cotto who he tired to fight for 3 years at 154 had a belt and used it for negotiations purposes only for a bout at 155. Cotto and damn sure Canelo had no intentions of fighting at 160 and are both Jr Middleweights. If all he wanted is the belt then why is he still begging to fight Canelo today? If GGG wanted the fight which is bigger then any belt then he should of jumped at the chance to move down in weight and fight Canelo. Instead he and his trainer said numerous times they would not go down in weight. So they are demanding Canelo to do what the punk GGG has refused to do his entire career and that's move up in weight. Tried to demand that the bigger draw and A side fighter move up to 160 just because you say so and fight a 160lber for the first time on your schedule and at a weight that is your advantage not canelo's. So he told you F off you don't want to come down to my weight then you can sit and wait till I move up to 160...which is EXACTLY what GGG has told multiple fighters at 168. Hypocrisy at it's finest. Scared to move up and fight bigger fighters that are a bigger threat so begs smaller fighters to do just that.

This is fight between 2 fighters who have each never fought at each others weight. Canelo fights at 155/154, GGG fights at 160. You want Canelo go down or stop complaining and wait till he moves up to 160.

aw, fnck......im quite the schnook. since forever ive been looking at divs as the end point being the starting point (ie 160-167 is mw and 168 begins smw). for this i apologize and yes, by info that every boxing should have known, alvy would seem to be the *****. still, has 3g ever weigh as little as 155 ? im just pissed that everyone has to move around but him.

Quite honestly, division limits are in place to try to avoid scenarios like this where fighters try to manipulate weights.

Lastly, you say 160 is the beginning of the division. That is simply untrue. The MW division begins where the JMW division ends, which is at 155...
i have been corrected but i cant be corrected enough. still cant grasp how 160 is the mw limit....161 is smw then ?

Yes. 161-168 is SMW, 169-175 is LHW, etc. I personally think CWs should only be used for fighters from different divisions. And I didnt mean to seem like Im jumping on you, I was typing when kafkod replied

Canelo has never had a pro fight in his life where he weighed over 155lbs.

How is that being a legit middleweight?

Which brings me to a good question. Canelo is the Ring MW champion. The rules of Ring Mag dictate that the champion will lose his status as champion if he moves to another division. Canelo is moving down to 154 to challenge Smith for his title. Will Oscar 'strip' Canelo of the Ring Mag MW belt in accordance with their rules?
The fact that you still hold Ring Magazine as some independent arbiter and compass for the sport of boxing is precious. bless your heart, lol

oh, no. i deserved every last bit of it.

being that this so called boxing fan has, JUST NOW, THIS VERY MINUTE, learned the proper weight limits....my mind is too frazzled to reply to the above coherently. i will gladly accept the more knowledgeable fight fans word on this matter.

how could i have been so wrong for so long.........(asking myself)

Current Ring MIDDLEWEIGHT champion. Current Lineal MIDDLEWEIGHT champion. Former WBC MIDDLEWEIGHT champion.

How much does it take to be a "legit middleweight"?

                    ^^^lol

Look at this clown, trying to blatantly ignore the fact that Ward clearly started a bulk up, for the move to 175, once Golovkin and K2 made it clear that they didn't want the fight at any terms.

                    try again

LOl @ you guys still capping on Golovkin for not moving up to fight Ward, yet you also cap on him because Brook is moving up to fight him. In essence, you're saying that it's not fair for Brook to move up, but Golovkin's a coward for not doing so? Meanwhile you totally dismiss the fact that Canelo held a belt in the same division as Golovkin, but ran from him like a scared little girl. So did Eubank, JR. Just admit you hate the guy & he can never do right by you. You probably don't even know why you hate him. You're like clickish school girls
