And they wanted Golovkin to sign a contract agreeing to fight in the summer/fall of 2016.

That is NOW, you fucking moron.

IMO.Everyone is just to FN scared to fight at their NATURAL weight and starve themselves to stay 1-2 classes lower. Lil G could EASILY move up comfortably to 168. Remember the LIMIT is 168.
...but Hagler never moved up doe.

Gennady Golovkin is heading to the UK, being brought in as the opponent (if what I'm hearing on the fight is legit, Golovkin is simply getting his pay package and none of the actual upside on the event) to fight a world-rated (arguably top 3 147lbers in the world) British welterweight fighter, who also doubles as arguably the best fighter that Golovkin has ever faced in his 10-year run at 160lbs. try again.

Why are you calling Saul Alvarez a "former MW champ"? He's consistently told everyone that he's still a junior middleweight, he's basically fought no higher than the 154lbs +1 "rule" for junior middleweight fights not for world titles/ eliminators, and now (when a 154 title opportunity opens up, after Floyd had already beat Alvarez for two belts at 154) he's back to fighting at junior middleweight.

You've openly acknowledged that no actual world-level middleweight could actually make 155 and fight (with the hedge of maybe 1-2 guys being considered), yet you're saying that Alvarez fighting at 155lbs (a weight you've already said that no actual middleweight can make) makes him a legit MW?
        You won.....

Isn't 165 between 161-168??? 168 is the LIMIT.And that's with training 365 days a year and fighting 4 times a year. Would like to see his weight if he fought every 6 months like most Champions do.

Can Trips hardcore fans discuss him without bringing up Alvarez? Listen...I like the guy when he is in the ring. However he either has a terrible publicist or he is fake just like his trainer and promoter. I mean can this guy play his position. Right now he is closer to Kimbo Slice than Leonard, ODH, Pacquiao, or Mayweather. Yet he talks like he is the man in boxing. One loss, or even getting knocked down vs Brook and he's done. I mean what contracts to fight tough competition is he signing? What 50-50 fights is he chasing?

aw, fnck......im quite the schnook. since forever ive been looking at divs as the end point being the starting point (ie 160-167 is mw and 168 begins smw). for this i apologize and yes, by info that every boxing should have known, alvy would seem to be the *****. still, has 3g ever weigh as little as 155 ? im just pissed that everyone has to move around but him.

i have been corrected but i cant be corrected enough. still cant grasp how 160 is the mw limit....161 is smw then ?
Yeah, in a championship fight, 1 gram over 154 and you are too heavy to be a SWW.

At least you are honest enough to admit you made a mistake, unlike Oscar, who insisted that Canelo was not a MW, despite him holding MW titles and fighting 1 lb over the SWW limit, which is in the MW division.

161 is SMW. So those people who said Canelo is doing the same thing to GGG as GGG did to Ward were talking out of their arses. If GGG had won a SMW title then tried to defend it against Ward at 161, that would have been the same trick as Canelo was pulling on him.

The objective changed ******. He added weight to move up to 175 weight he wouldn't have if he was going to fight Golovkin. How fucking dense are you?

How is that being a legit middleweight?
He fought in 3 MW title fights with an officially sanctioned weight limit of 160lbs.

Catchweights are a private agreement between the fighters and their teams, not recognised by the sanctioning organisation.

I was doing a GGG fanboy impersonation.

Hagler would be laughed out of boxing if he were in GGG's MW division.
