No threads praising the winner, the 2x olympic champ because hes cuban.
He's the best American amateur since ward. Of course he's gonna get some love from Americans. There also Americans hating on him for no reason lol

Yet he couldn't hardly land a single clean punch on Shakur who is younger and less experienced. Which is why I said shakur will beat that kid at the next level in a pro style fight.

You dont know how would Ramirez adjust to Shakur's defence in a 12 round fight. In my opinion he would find keys, Ramirez is a very skilled fighter.

The better man won. Simple as that.
Give credit where credit is due.

Nothing is guaranteed in this game. I said as much in another thread.

The kid is good and has potential to do well in the pros.
He lost to a better fighter on the day.

Whether the result would be different if this were a pro fight is irrelevant.

No fighter that comes to the Olympics is just going to roll over.
They all have dreams no matter where they come from.

The smaller the country they come from the more i am impressed by them.

Respect to both but an even bigger respect to the Cuban!

These kids work HARD and if the Goal for him was to get Gold then I have no problem with him being hard on himself but yeah he will be OK and will only get better from it. He lost to a GREAT Fighter not like he lost in the 1st Round or something!

Also worth remembering that Shakur should have been a lot fresher than Ramirez having over two times the rest period before the fight and only half the fights.

Put that 3rd round in that context and its even more amazing from RR
