This sounds like nothing more than face saving spin control at its worst by Mr. Bob Arum. Let the truth be told. Team Pacquiao knows that Manny can't compete or beat Terence Crawford on a even level playing field at this stage of his career.

Personally, I don't have a problem with Manny Pacquiao choosing Jessie Vargas over Bud Crawford as his next opponent. I think its a wise decision because if he wins, chances are he will live to fight another day.

Also lastly, he's has nothing left to prove. He's been up against some of the best fighters that the fight game has ever produced. So he has been there and done that whereas Terence Crawford has not.

However, at the very least they can be honest and man up about it.

You can't trust anything that "Boxing247.com" says. They are totally biased against Crawford & any fighter associated with Arum. (But especially Crawford for some reason) It doesn't make any sense but there ya have it.

Arum was never going to give the Pac comeback fight to Crawford. Not after Crawford & his team put Arum on blast in the media. And especially considering that a Pac/Vargas fight is an in-house fight. Crawford is in no position to make any demands...he's small money, small draw. And they definitely should be trying to build a working relationship with Arum if they truly want Pac...make with the nice-nice so you can get that payday & that notoriety. Any other route for Crawford's team is a waste of time.
