The guy gave you an answer, but you cannot comprehend -- because YDKSAB history...
They did not fight so Golovkin has not actually had any fights that can be considered "risky" in his career. Furthermore if fighting Pirog is the best you can come up with for an example of risk, then my point has been proven with an exclamation point.

At the time, Pirog was considered a top MW and I believe he'd still be one of the best middleweights if he wasn't so injury prone.

In fact, one of the best MW's and a belt holder, Danny Jacobs, got KTFO by him.

I make comments regarding things relevant to boxing, weight and class being one of them. You, on the other hand, make repeated ****sexual comments on these threads daily. Its pretty obvious who is thinking about what.

Pirog was considered a hot prospect because he beat Jacobs who was a hot prospect, they weren't considered top MW's at the time. Stop bullshitting.

If Golovkin started earlier as a pro, he would have fought at 154 until he was 30.

Pirog was a ranked Middleweight but let's be real. He was a 30 yr old with 16 fights when he TKO'd a 23 yr old Jacobs. Does this highlight of Pirog's career really qualify him as a "risky" fight? I'm not sure about that.

Golovkin offered to fight Martinez, in Argentina, for 10% of the purse. And that was when Sergio was still universally regarded as the best MW in the world.

GGG was ready to fight Ward at 168 back in 2013, but Ward wasn't ready for him. And in any case, HBO told them both that there wasn't enough fan interest in either of them back then to make it a worthwhile match-up.

GGG was ready to fight Froch in the UK, at 168lbs, which is something Ward wouldn't do. He also wanted to fight Quillin when Quillin was still unbeaten and highly rated.

GGG signed to fight Eubank Jnr, in the UK, and now he's fighting the undefeated best WW in the world, again on the road.

He started as a pro 10 years ago at 24. He would have been at 154 then if he could have made it.
