Golovkin has rehydrated to 172/3 once or twice in last 15 fights. The rest he's been between 168-170. Against both Wade and Lemieux, he was 170 while both his opponents were 175.

If Golovkin started earlier as a pro, he would have fought at 154 until he was 30.

Why was he 165 in the Olympics?

Pirog was a ranked Middleweight but let's be real. He was a 30 yr old with 16 fights when he TKO'd a 23 yr old Jacobs. Does this highlight of Pirog's career really qualify him as a "risky" fight? I'm not sure about that.

They did not fight so Golovkin has not actually had any fights that can be considered "risky" in his career. Furthermore if fighting Pirog is the best you can come up with for an example of risk, then my point has been proven with an exclamation point.
