What's relevant is that Kell Brook and his team believe he can beat Golovkin at 160lbs and his promoter is backing him with money.

Brook and GGG are both going to be earning the biggest pay cheques of their careers for a fight that millions of fans will be watching live all over the world.

It's going to be great event, with an electric atmosphere in a sold out arena, and all you fuckers can do is bleat and whinge about it.

How many divisions did that wee UFC con man move up to get his ass humped, and all we heard about that at a BOXING forum was ... the best fighting the best ... UFC rules ... boxing is dead ... blah blah blah.. **** off you whinging ****s.

        • 16 pounds 2 take off for Kell so it's not really a lot in 30 days, . I would wonder if possibly he will over train.. regardless I pick GGG...

          • Seems Brook can even fight Ward doe.

            • Kell Brook can't even make 147 anymore, so he's really 154 lb fighter, so he's really just moving up one division higher and he's an undefeated lb for lb fighter.

Brook = better opponent than Ward has ever faced. Brook > Froch and Kessler...his boxing ability is years ahead of the flat-footed plodder and Kessler isn't even as good as Froch..

They are killing it because HBO allowed Canelo/GGG to wait until Sept 2017. this means every fight each has until then will be easy cash grabs neither will lose so as not to jeopardize that fight.

why are you talking about ward so much in a GGG/brook thread?

ward was 168 and GGG 160 wen that fight was discussed. Now GGG is 160 and brook is 147 and the fight is happening.

GGG wasn't getting anyone to fight him so the ward fight gave him a top flight opponent since no MW would. Brook has 147lb fighters to fight to clean the division out. we don't need him taking a big money fight just to get KTFO like Kahn did.
Brook is a better fighter all round than Khan .....yeah he will lose to golovkin but it will be interesting while it lasts....and at least brook is more deservedly a challenger than what Khan was and he beat porter far more easily than Keith thurman did....brooks unbeaten and a world champion...and no ward was not a 168 fighter by then and if your saying him being 168 two years before...that's not proof....and if all the other middleweights had a pair of balls like brook it wouldn't be in the mess it is now with all the ducking going on....golovkin has every right to try and win all the titles at middleweight.....I'm looking forward to this fight

                  • Brook has weighed over 147 something like 12 of his 36 fights. He has been 150 or over 8 times, and 154 or over twice. So he can make welterweight, and he is a champion at welterweight. He has actually fought at middleweight once, and 9 times at junior middleweight.
He's jumping up, just not as much as many proclaim...

It's like having sex with an ugly fat hairy woman. Just because she offered it, doesn't mean it's okay to accept.
