When is Cuba going to stop outsourcing their coaches to the other nations.
There is nothing wrong with cuban coaches going to other countries, the cuban school was funded by Alcides Sagarra after he went to the soviet union to watch the trainers there.

I think he has a good draw to medal though. It may just not be the Gold.
I think Mamishzada is beatable to be honest. I'm rooting for Antonio Vargas. The most accomplished USA team member and he never gets any credit. Unfortunately he has a difficult draw. He always gets difficult draws.
If Aloyan is back in form I wouldn't be surprised if he wins the whole thing. When he is in form he is tough to beat. We will see how he looks in his first fight.
Vargas is my favorite fighter of the usa squad, he is the most talented by far.

I really like Joel Finol of venezuela i believe he is the most talented guy in the division.

            Well he must be overrated.
Balderas jr. was supposed to be a nobody whose basically a kid(18) and beat him.
The fact that his desperate country needs medal to feel like they matter is the only reason he remains in the bracket.

Sagarra never went to the Soviet Union, he picked up the brain of Russian and East German coaches in Cuba. He was just getting better as a coach and he was learning from the others.

Now Cuba has literally hundreds of boxing coaches in countries like Morocco, Brazil, Venezuela, Azerbeidjan, France and so on and so forth.

So Mohamed Rabbii has a Cuban coach, he's beat already Iglesias and he won the Worlds last year.

Same thing with Robson Conceicao, Conceicao beat Lazaro in the Pan Ams.

Venezuella has their farm system run by Cuban coaches.

Tony Yoka same thing, he has a Cuban coach and he won the worlds last year.

I don't know how many Cuban coaches are in Azerbeidjan and Uzbekistan. I just know that the Azerbeidjani team has a Cuban coach as well. In Bulgaria, same thing. Somebody should do a research of all the Cuban boxing coaches in the world.

It's good for the Cubans who coach there and for the countries but when these countries and fighters face the Cuban team they are better prepared as they know their secrets. So I as a Cuban boxing supporter am not happy about that.

What separates Cuba from the rest of the world in terms of boxing is their boxing program and now this boxing program is available in most of the countries that compete against Cuba.

Finol isn't the best, definitely, but he is a really talented kid and the most talented at the division in my eyes.

That's like saying that cuba was beating the soviets in the 70's because Alcides knew their secrets.

Not at all, Russian trainers did not train Cuban boxers. Alcides picked up the brains of a few coaches as a coach himself and he became the best coach in the history of the sport. Coaches around the world go to exchange ideas and knowledge to this day but when you have established Cuban coaches training boxers of different countries it's different.

Right now there are literally hundreds of Cuban coaches training athletes competing against Cuba. There is no comparison.

Alcides Sagarra learned a lot from the Soviet system. Not just from Chervenenko but from the great K.V Gradopolov, who he met on a visit to Kiev,

"I often remember my youth. Especially that spring in Kiev (Sagarra travelled to USSR) - it was amazing time. And I'm not ashamed to admit it - yes, I've learned a lot from soviet trainers, to this day I read their copybooks and find something new, modern, original. Everything good in me I owe to USSR".
