Dlh took some risks, but to suggest that Roy didn't isn't a fair argument. The fact is that Roy was too good for EVERYONE at that time. He had all the physical, gifts, couple that with boxing ability and ring iq, and you have an unbeatable fighter.Comment

The risks between DLH and Jones is nowhere close. Not saying Toney wasn't a great win btw.Comment

I don't think of Jones as a "boxing IQ" guy. That's Floyd and Hopkins. He was superior athleticism, WAY superior.Comment

Hopkins was past his peak years.
Who else?
When was Oscar the underdog? Hopkins and Mayweather. Both win win situations for him.
Oscar didn't take any fight that was perceived as big a risk as Toney was.Comment

If I'm not mistaken, Oscar was the favourite against Trinidad.

As far as Oscar being the underdog, not sure off the top of my head which fights.
Big risk? Toney was a slight favorite, don't make it seem like Jones was some huge underdog.Comment

The only time Oscar did that was when he was passed his best and had everything to gain and nothing to lose.
That fight with Hopkins was for the undisputed title because Oscar fought what he thought was a weak champion in Sturm expecting an easy belt and the cherry pick went wrong (happened a lot with Oscar) then when he fought Hopkins everyone knew he was going to lose because we'd just seen him lose to Sturm and get the decision. Another case of him having everything to gain and nothing to lose.Comment
