As with all of boxing - all tentative. Eubank is still on the table for December, DeGale possible if he doesn't get the Jack fight signed by September. They mentioned Gilberto Rameriz for March. And the June fight is supposed to be in Kazakhstan is association with the festivities for the energy conference taking place there, and the likely candidate could be his IBF mando which is looking like Derevyanchenko. Also there's the Danny Jacobs issue to be resolved as they'll both be open after the weekend of September 9th.

I haven't read one article in the sports press or newspapers or seen anything in sports news broadcasts saying that it's indefensible for a MW champ to defend his title against a WW. It's actually happened many times before.

Ticket prices for UK fights are cheap as chips and people like to go out and enjoy a show... but the fight has zero appeal beyond that.
And you may not have read anything... but any interview I have seen of people in the boxing business say Brook has no chance and GGG will win inside 2 or 3 rounds... this doesn't exactly sound like people think it is a good fight...
And yes, I don't need a history lesson in boxing... I think most people are aware that former welterweights have fought middleweights before... but here is the difference...
1. Those fights didn't have odds of 1/7 for one fighter to win.
2. Even if the odds were a bit wide in those fights, the guy going up was usually an accomplished fighter and not someone who has barely established themselves in their own division.
3. Golovkin is supposed to be one of the hardest hitting middleweights of all time and Kell has a questionable chin.
4. The middleweight was actually gaining a name on their resume - that despite the weight - was still of value.
5. The welterweight was already moving up to establish themselves in the division, Kell is not, he will not campaign at 160 after this.
6. And this one is really important, a lot of those fights were in demand. People wanted to see them.... not one person ever demanded this fight... ever.

If I'm not mistaken all Loeffler said originally was that if Hearn offered DeGale they would have taken that deal at 168. I don't think you should read too much into this exchange with a known troll, on twitter of all places.

So what is Tom saying here that the fight can't happen unless it's offered?

If they wanted Degale then why not enquire about Degale with Hearn or contact Al Haymon? It's not like Hearn has offered Brook so boom that's it done dusted no more offers.

GGG is the A side here he calls the shots on who gets to fight him in the end whether that be Brook or Degale.

Kell Brook has won one title at welterweight. He has beaten one top 5 opponent in his career, and that was two years ago.
He has been wobbled a few times in his career by people that are not even punchers in their divisions, let alone GGG.
