Boxing is business but Golovkin is on record criticizing Canelo's "business decision" by fighting Khan. Can't have it both ways.

Bottom line is that you cannot publicly criticize a peer for their behavior and then agree to do the exact same thing 3 to 4 months later.
Yeah shame on him taking a fight that was offered to him, but with your logic we should shame all the MW's that gave great WW's a chance to make upsets as well right? Thought so FOH

Are you slow? First of all, Middleweights do not get credit or acclaim for fighting unproven Welterweights. Secondly, Golovkin can accept any fight presented to him but, he and any other boxer, will be ridiculed when they publicly called the exact same fight "disrespectful to boxing", "disrespectful to boxing fans" and "bad for boxing". If it was all of these things in May when Canelo did it, then it has to be all of those things in September when Golovkin is doing it.

Funny that you are trying to defend a type of fight that Golovkin called "bad for boxing".

In what world is Kell Brook considered a "great Welterweight"? Sugar Ray Robinson and Sugar Ray Leonard were great Welterweights; Kell Brook and Amir Khan are not in that conversation.

Lol! Even on my drunkest days would I ever call Brook Great!!! But these GGGoons are the same ones who said Dominic"House Arrest" Wade was a BAD MAN and ignore the 100-1 odds. They ALWAYS bring up Salka vs. Garcia as the biggest mismatch but that fight was 100-3.

I could respect these GGG fans if they could be honest and call this fight what it is.....a Golovkin cash grab. However they keep following Team Golovkin's lead by trying to convince people that Brook is this great P4P boxer who's skills are enough to make this match 50-50. Stop the madness.

Is it possible for Brook to make this fight competitive? Yes
              Is it probable? No

If Welterweight Brook makes this fight competitive against Golovkin, what does that say about Golovkin's P4P status?

Not to mention there was no junior middleweight division and was same day weighins so guys couldn't bulk up adding the extra pounds afterwards, people always seem to skip over those points when bringing up Leonard and Robinson

Golovkin criticised Canelo for fighting a WW after asking for a voluntary before fighting him. K2 thought Canelo would use the voluntary defence to acclimatise himself to fighting at 160.

Canelo picking Khan was the first sign that he had no intention of defending against GGG. And Canelo PICKED Khan. GGG signed for a fight with Eubank Jnr, who is a top 10 ranked MW. He accepted Brook instead after Jnr wouldn't sign the contract.

GGG/Brook is a different situation altogether from Canelo/Khan

DeGale himself has said that Al Haymon picks his opponents now, not Eddie Hearn, and everybody knows that Chunky is negotiating for a fight with Badou Jack later this year.

If GGG/Brook does well over here that will definitely help set up a fight between GGG and Degale in the UK next year. Providing GGG beats Brook, of course.
