Golovkin criticised Canelo for fighting a WW after asking for a voluntary before fighting him. K2 thought Canelo would use the voluntary defence to acclimatise himself to fighting at 160.

Canelo picking Khan was the first sign that he had no intention of defending against GGG. And Canelo PICKED Khan. GGG signed for a fight with Eubank Jnr, who is a top 10 ranked MW. He accepted Brook instead after Jnr wouldn't sign the contract.

GGG/Brook is a different situation altogether from Canelo/Khan

IDK?? They both seem like money grabs to me. And both were the best available at the time name wise... It ended exactly like we thought with Khan winning most of the rounds and the. Getting KTFO. I think Brook is going to get KO'd as well. In fact I think BOTH will be in the running for Knock Out of the Year awards.

Eubank did waste months of GGG's time so I do realize why Brook was picked. Heck they're touring right now that's how lil time GGG had..

Or he can wait until someone was to fight him. The biggest difference is GGG is fighting a current world welterweight champion, rated in the top 3 in his weight class. No rated MW or MW title holder wanted to fight GGG...

Keep telling yourself that Lineal Middleweight Champion Canelo fighting Welterweight Khan is a different situation than Middleweight Champion Golovkin fighting Welterweight Brook. Your excuses are pathetic.

The differences are that Canelo is not a career Middleweight like Golovkin, Canelo fought Khan at 155 pounds and Canelo didn't put his entire foot in his mouth by calling a Middleweight vs a Welterweight "disrespectful" to boxing and "bad for boxing".

When did Canelo sign a contract to fight Golovkin in 2016?

DeGale himself has said that Al Haymon picks his opponents now, not Eddie Hearn, and everybody knows that Chunky is negotiating for a fight with Badou Jack later this year.

If GGG/Brook does well over here that will definitely help set up a fight between GGG and Degale in the UK next year. Providing GGG beats Brook, of course.
