I hope this figure Is accurate and Arum takes a bath on this one. The fight had no business whatsoever being on PPV. This Is the kind of nonsense that will continue to cost boxing and help to eliminate even more of an already fading fan base

HBO won't put up the money so they are forced into the PPV situation.

Showtime and PBC are literally killing them.

I think Arum did more harm than good with his insecurities against.... the PBC model?

Poncher, TR, Arum, media strategies and scripts to push "you should buy PPV" and continue justifying it for Crawford vs Postol... you think maybe general boxing fans might not like that?

I mean promoting PPV is nothing new, but as of late, you're not fooling anyone...

and clearly PBC has done good for boxing.

You have a legitimate point but that doesn't change the fact that people were just not going to shell out money for this fight and It would have made a very good HBO card. In the end It looks as If HBO will contribute In helping to kill the sport, which Is a shame.

                Like I said.

HBO didn't want to shell out any money so the fight went to PPV.

HBO is killing themselves...boxing will never die.

That's why Bob is wearing asbestos drawers and running back across to work with Al Haymon.

It was weak and I didn't buy it. I knew it would flop. NOBODY knew who either fighter was.

HBO has made it very clear now (Loma/Walters) that they are out of the business of supplementing Arum and Top Rank's agenda and business model.
