I dont think the number will increase for a crawford ppv vs similar opponents in the future because he failed to excite the fans.

Granted postol fought to not get knocked out but crawford could have stepped it up and i feel he had an obligation to the fans to do so.

Good. Why would anybody root for this to be a success? So we have to pay for another fight that should be on HBO or Showtime?

I don't know why HBO didn't pick up the tab on this one. Perhaps they are just saving money to spend on less expensive shows or just more shows in general.

In any case, it seems that the boxing business is slowing down these days. There is just not enough demand for the sport as compared to other sports.

Casual fans seem to be tuning it out since the Mayweather/Pacquiao bout. I can't remember the last time a PPV event has sold over one million buys since that time.

HBO's budget with Sports took a hit this and last year. Apparently it dropped 33% from their original budget years before.
