Hopkins lost all of his big fights (Jones, Taylor x2, Calzaghe, Dawson) due to his lack of activity most of the time.

He made his name by beating smaller guys as you said BUT also defending the MW titles for a decade, then having a nice run at LHW being 50 ****in years old.

GGG is far from that and hasn't been fully tested.

Don't know how GGG vs Hopkins would have played.

I think GGG could have outworked Nard.
But I can see Nard countering GGG a lot then moving, winning some rounds.
Would have been a nice fight.

I've been following GGG in the olympics (I'm a big amateur boxing fan) and I think you guys underrate his boxing brain.

Depends on the version of nard. Young nard doesnt get outworked. 40 year old nard that lost to taylor due to low output, then yeah he could lose.

That would be a mismatch, Golovkin is knocking out everybody at 160, Mayweather started out at 130, it's like asking for Kovalev V.S. Klitscko

You just contradicted yourself. The Mayweather fight is never going to happen. There are no big money fights for Golovkin from anybody at 147.


So nothing is lost if it doesn't exist in the first place. It seems you're just looking for an excuse for him not to move up. Also, stop with the ridiculous Duran /Leonard comparisons. There is nobody on that level today at 147 or 154.

I didn't, this fight won't happen in MY opinion, but I guess Loeffler is hoping to get Nelo and Mayweather as the business man he's (or supposed to be).

Well, he could lose younger too.

The Young version was more hittable (less cautious) and working more.

He started to be a lot more cautious after the mercado mess where he almost failed a second attempt to a title shot.


Nard's problem is he never had great speed or great power, but he's maybe the smartest fighter I ever saw, dude is a fox.

+ once he started to develop great skills due to experience, he didn't have that raw prime energy anymore.
