That in no way, shape or form would stop GGG from having those fights at 160. The tune-up fights were/are for Ward to knock off the ring rust, not GGG or Kovalev. Now with that information, please explain why Brook isn't being stripped of his title since a lower weight champion can't accept a fight against a higher weight boxer? I guess Golovkin is the only boxer that can't agree to future fights against boxers from other divisions without being stripped of his current titles.
you should do yourself a big favor and just be quiet. That way people wont know how ignorant you really are.

The Ward offer was for ONE interim fight, and then they meet in 2016. ONE INTERIM FIGHT. (That would have been the Lemeiux fight BTW) The IBF had already said that the winner of GGG-Lemieux had a mando due, and they only allow that to be bumped in favor of a unification fight. GGG-Ward is not a unification fight, so bye bye IBF title. And if you want to claim that the IBF wouldnt actually strip him, then that shows you know squat about the IBF.

As for the WBC interim, had GGG accepted this deal, the first thing Oscar would have done the day after Canelo beat Cotto would be to call the WBC and say they were ready to negotiate with GGG for the mando defense. (even though they would be bluffing, it doesnt matter) Heres how that convo would have went:

"We're ready to do our mando. Whats that, GGG is not available because he's contractually bound to a Ward fight? My my thats awful, I guess he will have to be stripped then, and we'll move on to the next contender"

And yes, Oscar and Gomez are smart enough to know to do just that. You're the one who is a bit "challenged" in these areas........

Cool story, problem is none of this is true. When a g string/Ward fight could have actually been made team g string insisted upon a catch weight Ward couldn't possibly make and killed the fight.

I see where this fits your agenda, but do you realize how silly this sounds. That's 2o+ pounds worth of difference

The offer, according to Loeffler as reported by the LA Times, called for a tune up fight in 2016 prior to their fight. Ward at the time was supposed to fight on Cotto-Canelo undercard in November. That would have made 2 fights in between.

wards offer was for 1 interim fight. Assuming Ward was not lying when he said he did not know about the Lemieux fight, then the Lemieux fight would have been the "i interim fight"

              this isnt that complicated

Golovkin is a wimp, let's say he knew about Lemuiex fight, that was the interim fight. If he didn't he was giving Golovkin the chance to get used to 168.

                Ward is blameless.

Wards offer was for one fight in 2016. The Lemieux fight was scheduled for October 2015. Gennady would have had to fight Lemieux, then again in 2016 to satisfy the terms. Maybe Ward already knew he was pulling out of November Brand fight. Maybe it would only have been one tune up for him, but Gennady would have had to fight twice

A video interview with unbeaten super-middleweight champion Andre Ward has stirred up his rivalry with unbeaten middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin.

So? Golovkin could have fought Lemuiex on ppv, had a easy fight at 168 in January and then been right back on ppv in June vs Ward. He was scared. Golovkin fans don't like the truth.

And Ward could have simply said yes, lost 4lbs, and fought in October 2015...but instead, we get, I'll fight you next year after a tune up next year...

Its like if I call you out to the middle of the street to fight right now. You say, wait until next week, come to my backyard, and let me practice on Billy first
