As far as people being ****** or a fanboy. You cannot argue that Canelo has fought the better opposition. Lara, Trout coming off of beating Cotto, and then beating Cotto and fighting Floyd (though I gave Canelo about 2 or 3 rds max) is still better than Murray, Wade, etc. I don't see why it's hard to admit that part?

If you want to argue that Canelo ducked golovkin, that's perfectly fine, it's a legit argument. The problem is that with the sport today, the cash cows run the show. This SHOULD stop, but it won't.

Every fighter as I've said here before, has had to make sacrifices to be the top ppv guy, cash cow #1 p4p, etc. Floyd did it, Cotto had to do it, canelo had to do it, Hopkins had to do it. Golovkin seems legitimately either afraid or just to much of a diva to make the sacrifice to go down in weight to meet Canelo, on that same note, canelo seems one or the other as well, when it comes to going to 160.

The one problem golovkin has that Canelo does not however is he has a loaded 154 lb division, while golovkin has a weak division with guys who are questionable in how good they are. Jacobs might not even beat mora in the rematch, Quillen has been gifted decisions, and got KOed in 1 Rd, Lee loses most of his fights unless his concussion power bails him out, which it has several times, etc. There is no fight @ 160 that will make golovkin that top star. He's shown he's not willing to take risks, and from what I've seen and read, it's always he said this, or he said that. Loeffler can't keep his stories straight to save his life, and over the last few weeks I've seen more and more headlines that we all know are trying to help team golovkin save face for fighting a WW. We ALL knew khan was a ******, ridiculous circus show and what the end result would be, so there's no defending that. Canelo has fought his share of bums in the past as well, but he has stepped up to beat some top notch fighters. Golovkin needs to do the same or his stock will go down.
GGG is the most active champion in boxing. He will fight in december. After that September 10 fight, we'll see who's really game. It will be interesting to see just how positive some of these boxers are on taking that GGG fight. And if no one quality from 154 or 160 is willing, then someone from 168 will do: Bute, Dirrell, DeGale, or if all else fails Abraham. Boxers talk big. But we'll see how much they chirp when GGG is available again.

Seriously, do you truly believe that the lineal title doesn't mean sh#t?!...seriously?!...even though it is listed on boxing resumes & is often associated with world champions?!...seriously?! I guess you're going to say next that world belts don't matter, huh? Jeez, go back to work hype man.

You keep bringing up Lara, hype man. It's like you don't even watch boxing. What in the world can Lara possibly do to GGG that no one has ever tried before? What? Box?...GGG has faced tons of boxers, & most don't have the power to keep GGG off of them. Lara is the same. He doesn't have any power to keep GGG honest. He can't run the whole fight & expect to win on the cards if GGG is the only one throwing punches...& he probably won't be able to because when GGG cuts off the ring, Lara will get obliterated. I don't understand how GGG haters like you could possibly see Lara as an actual threat to a KO artist. What is Lara going to do? Hold him? Murray tried that & got his arse pounded for 11 rounds. What is Lara going to do huh?...what's your case to say that Lara has any chance of beating GGG? He can't give GGG a boxing lesson when Lara's fighting style is tailor-made for GGG, who destroys outside fighters. Look at every single out boxer that ever faced GGG...they all got KO'ed...the more running they did, the worse the punishment. But beyond Lara's style being all bad to match GGG's Mexican style, Lara isn't even a suitable replacement in London when he brings no draw to a UK market. On top of which, De Cuba Jr. said it himself when he explained that it would be difficult to get the GGG fight because of opposing tv contracts. He also went on some tirade about risk/reward for Lara...which is an indicator that they might be pricing themselves out of that fight. That's out of De Cuba Jr.'s mouth. Go watch the interview conducted by DaBoxingVoice. Of course, you won't watch it because anything that contradicts your stance will be disregarded. That's the hype man for you. Go back to work, hype man.

I was working on the fact that you're in a thread about Ward and GGG and having a go at GGG - but I got it wrong, I take it you do actually see Ward for what he is then? A decent but extremely hyped guy who has done nothing noteworthy for about 5 years but still on some idiot's P4P lists? Sorry, I didn't realize you knew this.
